How to exclude analytics from your own computer?

INTERNET MARKETING

I'm currently using Google analytics to track user engagement on my website. I care more about the time someone spends engaged with the content than I do how many visitors I'm getting at the moment. However, I think my stats are being skewed from my own PC. Sometimes I'm bad to forget the site up when I'm away leading to a higher average. Is there any way to exclude your own page views and engagement stats?

Create a filter for your the I.P. addresses of the computers
you use to access your site.

https://support.google.com/analytics...34840?hl=en-GB (no affil.)

You can determine the I.P. address of your current device
here:

What Is My IP ® | Shows Your IP Address.

Then use that I.P. as part of your filter.
