What's Your Biggest Marketing Pain-In-The-Butt?

This guy I know is launching a website. He's got everything ready to go, and since I sent him some tips before, he shoots me a message "so... what do you think I should work on next?"

I tell him TRAFFIC, because it's the #1 biggest challenge for any marketer. And send him some links with the usual catalog of places and ideas for getting traffic.

After I sent that, I realized... you know, if we've got long catalog-like lists and blog posts walking you through every step of the process... traffic isn't half as much of a pain as it used to be.

Throw up some videos, do some SEO, forum posting, antisocial media, PPC, banner ads, etc etc etc. Problem solved (just spend the time and pony up the cash).

So, if the most fearsome beast on the road to internet success is no longer getting enough traffic...

    Creating an offer that converts is the other side of the coin.

    I would say one of my largest challenges is coming up with content on a routine basis that my target audience will respond well to. Often that means a lot of time spent researching and being creative. It is definitely one of the most time consuming tasks with web marketing.

      Do you mean in terms of "creating an offer that converts," or just blog content and the like?

    Getting TARGETED traffic is probably the hardest thing. Most of the website I've started can't be mass marketed.

      Writing copy/content. I am pretty good at it (I think) but sometimes I hit a brick wall and feel stumped for a couple of days. I guess it just takes me some extra time to think of things when I get to far ahead of myself.

    I think getting targeted traffic is main thing for almost all IMer's as every one would like to have targeted traffic.
