I know this isn't directly IM related, but you guys have never let me down before so I'm asking!

I'm thinking about getting an office 360 subscription, the 'home' version.

It allows the Office suite to be installed on up to 5 PCs.

Do these PCs all have to be physically in my home (and therefore on the same IP)? Or could I install it on my home PC as well as on a PC at my cottage or whatever?

Thanks!

You can install it anywhere you want, on 5 computers.

It's funny how you know this question doesn't belong here, yet you still ask. You should be posting this question on Microsofts forums, as it's their product and they can provide you with the best answer.

I'd much rather have an answer from someone who doesn't sell the product most of the time. It is a lot easier to get an unbiased response.

Considering that Microsoft Office (or Office 360) is used by many marketers on this forum, the question isn't the problem.

Sometimes it is best to hit the back button instead of posting a snide reply.

The question you are asking isn't about buying the product or not.... It's about where you can install it. Obviously, this is a question best suited for MICROSOFT as it's their product. We don't know what their legal obligations are, and to assume as much is just ignorance.

Sometimes it's better to ask your questions in the right place, instead of breaking the rules of this forum just because you feel like it. This is a forum about MAKING MONEY, not about What Computers you can Install Microsoft Office to.

Likewise if it's a forum about making money only, then there's no place for your off topic and unwanted remarks. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Topics are limited to make it possible for people to better use their time. If the board was open to everything and anything anyone wanted to discuss, it would be useless for anything practical. Hence the "Where we talk about making money."
    Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum
Where We Talk About Making Money
A quick Cut/Paste of the forum rules will show that this section is for "Talk about Making Money". Asking how many computers you can install Microsoft Office to, has NOTHING to do with Making Money.

This topic should either be asked
The Off Topic Forum (294 Viewing)
This is where you can discuss anything you want to discuss with other Warriors.
Or, it should be asked on the Microsoft forums, as it's a question about Microsoft ToS...

Two wrongs don't make a right.
How is it wrong to teach people the rules of the forum? Perhaps you would like everyone to talk about their computer software problems in this section. Maybe we should all talk about our favourite pets, car troubles, family issues, and personal problems here as well.
