Any websites that boost your reading speed?

I've been working on increasing my reading speed and can't seem to get past 350 to 500 wpm. According to the Evelyn Wood system 2000 to 5000 wpm is possible. I've read their book but can't get over the 350 to 500 wpm wall. Anyone know of a good online resource that boosts reading speed and comprehension?

Yes, there are training programs for speed reading. Just Google them, I used software and it helps a ton.

Wow that's fast. Do you think your mind is absorbing a lot of the information?

Yes. For the most part. It doesn't make much sense to boost reading speed without simultaneously boosting COMPREHENSION.

That sounds pretty interesting. Maybe you could share it?

2000-5000 words per minute, I don't think it is possible as a human

Well, it involves reading where you're not silently 'vocalizing' what you're reading or moving your lips. It is called SUPERSONIC reading... meaning you look at the words and the MEANING comes to you instead of the SOUND of the word. Like looking at a stop sign. I want to reach that level so bad!

Tim Ferris wrote something about that subject - something along the lines of being able to double or triple his reading speed with a special technique. I think he even advertised it on his campus a long time ago.

Tim Ferriss's book 'The 4 Hour Work Week' has a few tips on how to read faster. It has something to do with connecting two words in a line to read it faster. For example, you would subconsciously read the following words (which are highlighted) before you start the line.

The trap was set up in such a way that Bob is a Female.

To be honest, forget everything I said because it's probably wrong, and read this: http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog...ated-learning/
