Ways to effectively promote a niche business directory with $10,000 per month budget?
I've got a question that no doubt some of you will be able to contribute to.
If I had a niche specific business directory, say a dentist directory, which lists dentists in a particular city - what would be the best ways of driving targeted traffic to the directory with a perpetual budget of $10,000 per month?
Things to keep in mind:
- Business directory is niche specific
- Business directory is for only one city
So we need marketing that focuses on drawing in leads specific to the industry and from within a specific geographical location. This isn't a roadblock but I did want to make it very clear - so that any responses to this thread take the above factors in to account.
Now, regarding the advertising spend:
I figure using the $10,000 on a various set of marketing methods is best. Things like Facebook ads, Google PPC and SEO come in to mind.
SEO takes time, so while it is something that should be considered - the focus would be on creating leads right from the start and for that we need advertising that brings visitors now, not in a few months.
For this reason I would allocate approx. 10% - 20% of the advertising budget to SEO - which would build up slowly over time.
What advice would you have on the remaining 80% to 90% ($8,000 - $9,000)?
Hopefully we get a few good responses in here.
Kind Regards
Chris
