Can I Market My Affiliate Website With Solo Ads?

I just started an affiliate website that content locks a free ebook. Since the ebook has to do with making money online, I was wondering if I could buy some solo ads to promote it. Do you think this will work? And how much do solo ads usually cost? Somebody told me that its around 30 cents a click which sounds a little pricey.

    It is a better strategy to direct solo ads to a squeeze page, build a list of subscribers, and market to this list through your autoresponder, so you can try to create a relationship with them and then promote your affiliate items to them too.

    which will give you regular profits (if done right).

    Yes, try to send them to a landing page so you can start building your own list. This will save you time and money in the long-run.

    The price really depends on who you are buying your ad from.

    A couple of tips:

    Don't necessarily purchase an ad from the most highly reputable, 5 star seller.

    Why?

    Their prices are generally more expensive and with everyone flocking to them, chances are their list has seen the same/similar offer floating around.

    Find someone who is "not as popular" and ask them a few questions before purchasing an ad.

    You could ask:
    • "How did you build your list?"
    • "What is the demographic/interest of your list?"
    • "Is your list mostly buyers or people who are just interested in free content?"

    Start with a smaller ad and if it converts well, then scale it up!

    Start small like 50 to 100 clicks for testing. Record your results from each solo provider for future reference.

    Solo ad is not pricey if done correctly.

    I think what Greg was trying to find out is if he can market an affiliate product using Solo ads (If I'm right).

    I understand that the sole purpose of a solo ad is to build lists, but what I'd also like to know is if it could somehow be tweaked/used to sell other products --probably landing in the order page, directly from the email. (JV offer)

    Yes, you can redirect the subscriber to an affiliate product using a solo ad. That being said, it is smarter to use solo ads to build your list because instead of promoting just one affiliate product to one subscriber one time you can market your list time and time and time again...

    You should build your list and that asset first. You can always promote affiliate offers via an auto-responder sequence or via broadcast mailings. You can also promote affiliate offers as re-directs during the sign-up process or on your download page. There are a ton of possibilities with this.

    $0.30 per click is the on the cheaper side for solo ads, how much is that ebook selling for? the thing is paid traffic can be profitable when you have a deep enough funnel in place. so if your capture page converts at 50%(good) thats $0.60 you paid for a lead. then your sales page converts at 1% thats $60 in paid traffic to generate 1 sale. that's the reality for generating a sale ill pm to help you further
