Advice on Socila Media Campaign Pitching

Hi

I have just been given the opportunity to pitch for a monthly social media campaign job for a health and safety business.

Although I have managed and still manage a social media campaign for one of my other clients I never really pitched for that job it just kind of came about after I created a website and some blogs for the client.

Although I am familiar with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google CPC etc I am really looking for a unique selling point on my services in order to win the business as I have no doubt that many others will also be quoting for the job.

Can you guys give me any tips on a USP and also an approximate monthly fee to charge. I currently charge around the $400 mark per month for the other client but pretty sure this is on the low side.

Cheers

Mulder

    Mulder,

Has the client stated what they want to get out of this campaign? If not, ask them to very specifically identify what it is. Once you have that information you can craft a USP that very succinctly answers or address what they want.

For instance, if they want to heighten the exposure of their web site in their niche by creating a presence on social media sites, then you might craft a USP to match - something like "Mulder Marketing - Taking Social Media to New Heights!"

Anyway, the idea is to find out what they want from you and make that you USP.

Regarding how to price your service - that will depend upon your history, the competition, and what others are paying for similar services. I agree that you are probably charging too little; however, because you seem to be fairly new you may not be able to command top dollar.

I would quote your "going rate" at something that you would be very happy with. Then offer them a "new client discount" that you are extending to their company in acknowledgement of the fact that this is a new relationship and you want them to see just how fantastic your service really is.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

    Hi Steve

Many thanks for your input. In a nutshell the guy wants more visitors to his website that he can convert into sales. Getting traffic to the website isn't the problem. Conversion is the biggest challenge.

One of my initial suggestions will be a lead capture form on his home page. I also think a promo video will work wonders for his particular business. Then off course I will manage his Facebook, Twitter and other networks. Updates to his blog with quality content and manage his ppc campaigns.

    Anything else you can suggest?

    Thanks again
