For product sales copy/pages, what converts better...Video only sales pages, copy text only sales pages or video with copy text sales pages?

Video sales pages usually do better. But I'd recommend testing for yourself and your market to see if it's the same for you or not.

Do a split test of the three. Make sure to see what others in your niche are doing. It also really depends on the quality of the sales page itself. An amazing text sales letter will outperform a poorly created VSL any day.

For me it's always been "copy text only sales pages". I've tried videos, and the response i was looking for just wasn't there. Plus you have to take into consideration the load time of prospects when they come across the video... some will have hi-speed internet connections, and some will have slow internet connections.

It depends on rather a wide range of factors, I think.

For me, video sales pages barely convert at all, and after extensive feedback from my subscribers, across a wide range of unrelated niches, I'm almost unwilling to send my traffic to sales pages with video, and entirely unwilling to send it to any sales pages with autoplay video. I think the major reason for this is my traffic demographics. What matters is to test for yourself.

The vendors I know who have recently split-tested seriously and discussed their findings with me (though admittedly this isn't very many people, and may not even be representative - perhaps particularly because I'm not involved in any IM/MMO niches at all) have all abandoned video on sales pages.

I think that video sales letter converts better...
But it's really depends on your product.

The best way to know, is to SPLIT.

For one of my products I recently added 4 videos to the sales page... It near doubled the conversion rate.

      Always be testing!

I would say taht video will bring better results, but as always, it depends. You have to try out all options and see how it goes

Totally depends on your product I must say. if it looks good with the Video sales page and delivers more attraction, its definitely going to convert better. But if the product is a bit professional and decent dumb looking ( I couldn't better explain it) then only copy text page could do the trick. I tested it on my products and was very much shocked to see the difference.

First I used to think it depends on the presentation, graphics, testimonials etc on the page but Product plays 50% of the role cam to know after the testing. so go test it with your products, Target same traffic on both the pages and see the difference.

    Good luck!

You're asking a near impossible question...

It's all about the pitch and the product. Some marketers will tell you that classic text copy rules the net, some will tell you they've had better results with video.

Video sale pages are all the rage on Clickbank. So chances are if you go that route you wont go wrong but it never hurts to test.....ever. Unless you don't.

My results from testing show the following:

    1. Lower priced products (less than $50) convert better with text only.

    2. Software or machinery converts better with videos

    3. Higher priced products (over $100) convert better with longer vs. shorter copy

Overall, text converts better. I hypothesize because it is more readily consumed at the readers pace. They can skim or jump directly to the purchase price if they want to while videos make them feel like they have less control.

    I hope that helps!

Video sales page do better but based on my personal experience, the video should be short and concise. Long videos full of hypes are irritating.

Video with a short paragraph or two of text has worked well for me on my last launch.

Video with a text representation of the offer works well for me. But as has been stated over and over in this thread, you will need to test as what works for one doesn't always work for the other.

More often than not, the simple methods still tend to have higher conversions. Rather than choosing video vs text or some combination of both on sales pages, you first need to realize that the method should not be a distraction to the message. It's also important that you show due respect for your prospects' time.

For me it's usually just plain old marketing using text, although sometimes a judicious combination of text, short video demos, and graphic illustrations may be used to showcase high end products or show complex features. But, your mileage may vary.

I agreed with most of them who suggested split test. You will only know when there is number.
