Monetizing on my forum activities

I am a user of a forum for a niche. I used to lurk, but now I am somewhat knowledgeable on certain things. I am an active member.

How do I go about monetizing on this -- as I am advising people for free basically?

Build a list so that you have people in the niche to contact. Most forums allow you to put your signature in a post. By being active and giving quality comments/advice/answers you will attract others in the niche.

Of course a web site helps in that whole process but it isn't completely necessary in the beginning. I would start out with trying to drive traffic to my list and then come up with my own product to sell.

    Good luck to you,

Tell WF what your niche is and maybe someone will pay you monthly to put their advert in your sig.

If you have a product or website put it in your signature line. If you are selling other people's products as an affiliate you can work it in to your good advice on the forum. If you create an e-book or have something to offer, or even want to offer a e-newsletter, offer it on the forum (if it is allowed). Since you are now a well known contributor who has good advice, people should respond.

Most of us are for one thing really and that is to build our business.
I get five to ten emails a day when I post, when I do not post on a daily basis I get about 2 to 3 emails.
Doesn't sound like much does it, Its about a 1,000 more than this time last year though.
