Ranking Squidoo Page

Hello, I just created a new squidoo lens and was wondering if anyone can referrer a reputable SEO to help me in getting it ranked on the first page of google. I am new to SEO and was wondering where I can get help?

    You might somewhat limited in driving Squidoo ranking. Onsite is limited to content/keyword selection. Offsite techniques are standard web2.0, social media, article marketing, forum content, etc.

    Any reason why you aren't self hosting content?

      Self hosting content, you mean doing all those things you had just mentioned correct? I am just starting to learn and implement where the best places to quality backlinks to my site..I figured I would go here for advise first.

    articles w/ links, and you can submit all the RSS feeds with tools like RSSBot.

          I actually just stumbled upon a squidoo page today - that looks like it was there (looked at the cache) but the owner of the lens let it go!

          It was decent too - and had been indexed. I snatched up the address.

          Kept looking over my shoulder to see if there was a reason I shouldn't have taken it.

          It was while I was researching a product I was thinking to promote, and this lens offered a "bonus" so that word was at the end. So, I'm pretty sure I can offer my own bonus and voila!

          Indexed ranking lens in one fell swoop.

          I think the guy before me was only offering a limited bonus (like a set number) and perhaps that is why he ditched it.

          I on the other hand can offer unlimited amounts of my bonus.

          Also found a shiny quarter on my walk into town yesterday.

    Uhm, Squidoo can rank VERY well in Google...although i think that Google recently down-graded social sites a bit...so they are not THAT important anymore as they were, say, one year ago.

    But still, the lenses are an essential part, especially with interlinking to your other sites...or feeding lenses with RSS from your sites...things like that.
