I just completed work on a great idea (yeah, right).

It is both unique and niche specific (so you think).

I wrote a series of 5 reports in an e-book format that walks the reader through the process & organizing of a specific skill (why the big mystery?).

Anyway, I am seeking advice on the best way to promote & market my product. I do have a web site, but no mailing list. What I would like to consider is the value in doing a JV, affiliate, or other linking approaches. Any ideas/suggestions are most welcome.

P.S. I really do believe it is a good idea.

    1. If you really think it has some awesome value and can help people and if it is IM niche. Buy a room membership and promote it as an WSO.

    2. Promote it to famous market places like JV zoo, clickbank, warrior + etc to get JV's and affiliates.

    3. Make one of the reports free and set up a squeeze page for it. Buy solo ads and build a list. then promote other high ticket ebooks to the list. this would be highly targeted as they will be interest in other books too if the opted for the free one.

    4. Put that on your website and bring PPC traffic to it.

    5. Put the link in your signature and provide quality contribution to the forum, It really pays.

    Good luck!

A press release seems appropriate, as the idea is to announce a new product.

Kind of off topic from promoting, but you could try handing out free review copies to select IMers before you actually launch your product. This way, you can offer testimonials on your sales page and build a sense of reputation to your customers.

Not only that, but reviews will give you an idea of how much value your product is offering, and will give you an opportunity to assess.

      Anyways good luck,

      Jake

    JS,

If your idea is unique and specific to a niche, my thought is this: you need to get that idea out in front of the people in that niche who could best benefit.

Most JV partners and affiliates at JVZoo, Clickbank, Warrior +, etc are not going to be in the right niche with their lists.

I would do some research in your niche and identify possible partners and list owners whose web sites are at the top of the niche in terms of popularity and authority. These are the people you want to spread the word about your new idea.

Give them a free copy to review. They will tell you if it's worth selling and if they think their list is a proper target of your book.

If you do have a quality product, then do a deal with them.

Even if the deal is that the list owner takes all the profit, if you get niche buyers on your own email list as a result, you will have a starting point from which you can grow your own list in this niche and offer back end or new products on your own.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve
