Developing and launching new undeveloped products

Recently my writers and i have been developing a new product/service "website" to a specific market. This kind of website has never been developed before (at least to my knowledge & research). Either way there is an average of 80,000 searches for this service.

My question, does anyone have experience in developing a new product/service to a market? I am about ready to launch and there is always that slight doubt of knowing that anything i have measured is all theoretical.

I would just like to here some stories of your successes.

You'll never really know until you try.

It might be the most successful thing you've ever done, or the biggest waste of time. But it's worth rolling the dice to find out isn't it.

  • If anyone gives you feedback on the success or failure of launching their new product/service website to a specific market with a website that has never been developed before, it will only be "their" experience, which most likely be different from yours. Thus as Victor mentioned above, you'll never really know until you try.

In our experience, many years ago we launched a new original "undeveloped product" called "record label business plan" in new territory towards music entrepreneurs. Fortunately it took off and has been steadily selling since, and has remained to be the only official and number one selling product in this niche, with only 2 or so internet marketing copy cats trying to cash in with an inferior product.

Good luck with your product / service.

    IMDESTROYER,

Personally, I can tell you what I found out regarding what experts said:

Test, test, test. Go back and keep testing until you find what works for you.

    It works!

    Hi there,

May I know if the search is 80,000 per month? Most of the time, search volume tends to correlate to the intensity of buying interest in a positive relationship. However, it also depends on how specific the term is.

Do you have a strategy in your mode of marketing yet? My guess is that you're going for organic search results.

Assuming that, what I would suggest is you to run a Sponsored Ad on google. In other words, you could run a small campaign on that keyword to measure the amount of interest in it. Bid small - you don't need to get to the top 3 positions to receive clicks.

In fact, there might be more qualified customers who are more desperate if they're clicking all the way to the 4-6th positions.

On the page, you could do a few things:
    • Build a lead database / your email list
    • Measure the response directly by asking for a survey in exchange for a related gift

    It depends on you.

Sounds like a lucrative market for a new product. I'd advise maybe spending a bit more time than what might be neccessary to create a killer product. Work on creating a list now and advertising the product launch over a period to excite and interest people in the meantime.
