Default Looking for a script when people leave a site...

I know there's one out there, but for the life of me I can't remember who has them or where to find them (and I'm obviously googling the wrong thing LOL).

Can anyone recommend a script that:

opens up like a "one time offer" page "IF" a person leaves without ordering...
but IF they go to the ordering (paypal or 2co), then it DOESN'T show them it?

You need an exit popup. For some recommendations see this recent thread: I need an exit popup like yesterday :)

All you need is an exit popup script. After you find an open source script like that, then you can have a programmer create an "if then else" statement that determines if the buyer has visited the order page and ordered and if they have doesn't do the exit pop up... but if they have not does do the exit pop up.

Here is how you set it up... short of the code required to do it.

1. Customer visits web page and leaves... EXIT POP UP OTO.
2. Customer visits web page and decides to click the order button.
3. This takes them to a separate page where they click the actual button to pay.
4. If they leave this page without buying... EXIT POP UP OTO.
5. If they click the order button to pay, then you can have code here that uses the click event to not do the EXIT POP UP OTO.

This should cover most scenarios... but a modified script would more than take care of your problem. It wouldn't be a difficult modification to do for any decent PHP programmer. It is more or less just a few "if then else statements" or "case select" statements. Not certain what the actual PHP syntax or keywords would be, but a decent PHP programmer would know this without even thinking about it.

Find someone on the WF in the "Warriors for Hire" section that does this kind of work and I'm sure they could bang out the code required in an hour or less.

Surely there is already a script designed for this, I would like one to lead onto a downsell page.

Then you should look into MemberSpeed as an all in one solution. It does the OTO's and also downsells. There are other scripts as well like Butterfly Marketing that do this type of thing. I think Fantasos might also have some of this functionality built in.

Then there is Easy Member Pro which has the upsell, but not sure about the downsell. Amember may be similar in this regard. There are scripts for everything, but you have to be willing to pay for them in one way or the other.

Either pay someone for simple coding of a few pages... or pay for a script that covers all the bases like mentioned above.

I was going to recommend exitsplash.com, too - it's a great script. I've used probably five or six other exit pops and most work poorly. Exit Splash i think is the only one I've seen that does not trigger until the person clicks the "X" to close the window.

It's also more advanced in terms of the options it lets you set up.

I love it!

Warmly,
Dan
