So maybe go read about it on some top outsourcing sites like elance.com and odesk.com? What do you need to have achieved with the outsourcing?

I offer only a few quick thoughts (which I wish I'd known when I started) ...

    1. Outsourcing is a skill-set all of its own; doing it successfully requires care, judgement and ideally some experience

    2. It's much, much easier to outsource productively and beneficially things that you do know how to do well yourself than things you don't

    3. Doing a lot of outsourcing when you're "just starting off" is a big mistake, for a few reasons, but partly because it makes it harder for you to learn how to do things yourself, an important skill to acquire before successful outsourcing

Thanks a lot and you're right, I've never done outsourcing. I think I need a lot of research and reading stuffs before getting into it.

As usual Alexa is bang on the money, but specifically this point. Learn to do it yourself first, and be absolutely certain that the outsourcer WILL have to be directed very specifically to do it as you want it. Specific and accurate directions are imperative... to have any chance of success. And finally, when you get someone good appreciate them and look after them. They are rare.

I'm going to assume you mean articles? Basically you pay someone to write an article about something you request, because you lack the skills to write it yourself, or do not have the time, or have other reasons.

It can be useful if you need content regularly and quickly, but i would recommend you take heed of the saying "you get what you pay for". If you outsource articles for your money site, you need good quality, and you will have to pay for it. Make sure the writer is native english. You can ussually tell very easily if the writer isnt, because they just dont have "that touch"

Good outsourcing sites are elance, and fiverr can be good as well. I have a gig on fiverr where i can guarantee articles, written by me, in under a day. Link is in my sig if you are as interested as you say you are.

Are you looking for information on how to outsource/offer services to others or are you seeking information on how to find good people or businesses to outsource/hire from?

Sorry if that's a silly question, but I wasn't sure from reading your post.

In my experience, you need to find a handful of those great outsources that you can actually trust and rely on.

Once that happens, you can scale your business appropriately.

My advice is to spend the time training your outsourcers properly, and don't expect them to get everything right the first time.

Think of it as an investment, it'll pay off immensely in the long run.

As someone already said outsourcing is an art, you must keep note of a few things before you outsource ...
      - how much of your own time and money you are saving by outsourcing that particular job
      - what quality of job you need
      - your budget
      - the credibility and skill of the person/company you outsource to

      All the best!

Some good responses here to your questions.I use odesk .I then make several screen capture videos using camtasia setting out step by step what I want them to do. This cuts down the training time required on skype.

I suggest that you go for companies because you the last thing you'd want to happen is to get less significant results. A company should have highly skilled professionals who have the proper training and experience while hiring freelancers could mean that you might have to spend time training them and still not get your expected results.

I would suggest purchasing a course on outsourcing to get yourself better educated. If you are just outsourcing content for your website I think textbroker is very good and very easy to use. Elance and Odesk are also good alternatives as well.

Outsourcing is about finding the right people who will be able to deliver quality services, like content writing, website designing and so on. Don't look for other people to do everything for you, because that way you will spend money that you need and could use for something better and besides, you won't learn anything on your own!

What do you outsource for in the first place? If you are looking to outsource, you should specify what project are you working on so you'll know where to outscource from. There are certain criteria that you need to consider if you're interested in outsourcing like investment, time and effort.

You can't just outsource if you do not know what you are doing. Well you can but it's NOT going to work out well. Usually when outsourcing something try to get some information on it.

Also what exactly are you trying to outsource?

Hiring someone to do something for you like article writing, web page design...that's outsourcing. There are many ways to outsource but the very simple start on that is to find the best people on some websites like Odesk, Elance and OnlineJobs.ph

There are many types of outsourcing. Content writing, graphic design, social media accounts management and many others. If you are looking for a supplier of such services, ask for samples first and look at the supplier's reputation.
If you are looking to become a supplier, make sure the standard of your work is very good and that your pricing is reasonable.
If you are looking for good supplier, I can recommend you the one I currently use.

Always remember, if the outsource provider were really good at creating an income from their materials, they would not sell them to you, they would sell them on their own.

Obviously, this does not apply to people that do things such as copywriting sales pages for your product. Just don't expect someone to create a killer product for you to sell and become rich from do so.
