Royalty Free And Public Domain Music

Hello,

I'm creating some videos and would like to have some music playing in the background. I realize that there are a lot of limitations to the usage of music, but I was wondering if there is a site which offers free music downloads (i.e.: mp3, etc.) totally free...royalty-free (perhaps public domain)...including free downloads?

    Google can't ask questions.

    It can be challenging finding royalty free music that is actually free, but there are some old public domain archives and new artists who are willing to provide it, sometimes in exchange for attribution.

      Here are some additional resources:

      Audionautix

      Vimeo - both paid tracks (many at $1.99) and many free ones as well

      Looperman

      MusicBakery - largely buyout music, but still some good stuff

      Incompetech

      Finally, go to eBay and search for royalty free music. You will find lots of CDs for sale, usually from $ 1.99 and up. Surprisingly, some of these are actually very nice tracks.
