How can I set this up

I want to set up a landing page with a video(got that taken care of), but I want to personalize the video for each of my clients.

Let's say John Smith is an existing client and I send him an email with the link to the landing page. Next, I send Julie Smith the same email and link and I have a video with a tweak where she hears or sees her name instead of John Smith.

Can this be set up?

    I think each video would have to be different then, and you would have to put them on different url's. The only way you might be able to achieve this is if the user was logged into the site and was redirected to there so to say "profile space" where all the member are greeted with there profile welcome video. Ive seen this done for member websites, it would require some coding.

    Sounds like more work than it's worth.

    To mass produce something like this, you would probably need to hire programmers to make custom video-editing software for you, which could cost thousands of dollars.

    Sure it can be set up, anything is possible here is what you do.
    If your list is 1000 members, then make 1,000 videos and do a video with each one.

    Now what I would like to say that is a very smart idea though. I wonder if a script could be made and the voiceover is right where there name is said.

    I don't do code any longer since wordpress is my best friend and I can get coders pretty cheap. I do know a voice over with a first name and last name must be done though for it to work for sure.

    You can either send each one to a different page with a different video, or use a little php and a dynamic url like
    www.yoursite.com/index.php?bob
    www.yoursite.com/index.php?tim
    www.yoursite.com/index.php?jenny

    the dynamic bit on the end can easily be sucked out using php and
    different videos be shown on that same page based on who's name
    is at the end of the URL.

    I've seen it done before, yes. You won't be able to personalize the voiceover but text in the video, yes.

    I just can't remember the name of it.

    you can set up different opting box for the different categories and as they signed up to your opting box it automatically sends them a video.

    I've seen this before. This can be done in two ways.

    1. A soft Impression.
    2. A hard Impression.

    1. Its just like a watermark in a video which cannot be removed so you need to build different videos for different clients and then give them different url's to access it.

    2. Its just like Youtube, where you see the pop up ads you can put there the name of your client in a beautiful manner. This will just look like a decent tag over the video when it starts and you won't need more than one video to make it possible but just different url's to trigger it. A professional video script does this. You might want to post it on elace or Odesk to see if anyone can make it.
