Writing Services Involve Hardwork?

A lot of us started our online careers providing writing services. A lot of us also started off with very little pay - I remember a time when I had written a 600 word article for $4 on MTurk. However, as time passed, we all learned that giving away our creativity for such low prices wasn't a fair deal, and we started looking for clients with bigger pockets and bigger hearts.

So, in the spirit of writing, I give you a small handy tip when you're providing writing services.

There are two types of clients - the ones who pay big, and the ones who pay small. Both of them exist, and both of them are always hiring. So, what do you do to make a good amount of money from both these types of clients? Well, what they pay you is an illustration of what they are looking for.

If they are willing to pay $3 or $5/500 words then it means that they just want junk to fill their site up with. If they pay $25/500 words, it means they want quality content, but you need to impress them, and you can score more. If they pay $50/500 words, this is a guy who cherishes his reputation, and is also just getting his feet wet in the big league of websites. If he pays $100/500 words, you better ask yourself if you can provide content that demands such a price. If he pays $500/500 words; Son, your piece is going to get featured on some hotshot site, so you better write something smart or go home and stick with your 50 shades reading.

Well, this is the judgment scale for clients, in my opinion. Accordingly, you need to put the right effort for the right price. For the $5 guy, get free PLR, rewrite the stuff, and just make sure that there are no spelling and grammatical mistakes. He will think you're the best.

For the $50 guy and upwards; take time, do extensive research, get a great flow to the article, add humor, give your article a personality, give references where you're stating facts, deliver on time, and maintain a relationship with that client. You will also have the satisfaction of having worked with a major player, possibly even a major organization.

It is all in the perception; and in marketing, "perception is reality." People who pay less for content, do not realize the power of good content.

You get what you pay for.

And then there are the clients who demand the world and only offer to pay 5$ for 500 words.

Either way, I try to write great articles for everyone. I typically don't write for less than 2$ for 100 words but occasionally I make a deal with a client and lower my rates in exchange for something. If you are starting a writing service, don't lower your quality just because you are not getting paid as much as you would like. Over-deliver and let the testimonials roll in. Then, you can raise your rates.

    Good luck!

I think you all should consider purchasing this WSO by John Coutts: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ml#post8263211 - this is NOT an affiliate link, just a genuine recommendation.

No-one who has decent writing abilities need ever work for peanuts, but if that's how you perceive your abilities, that's exactly where you will remain. At that level there are as many writers as there are clients.
