When doing keyword research (more appropriately competition research), I like to keep an eye out for web 2.0 sites in the top 10 listings. If you find a web 2.0 listing in google and you do the same thing, you will probably get a similar result most of the time. i.e. if they have a squidoo lens just make your own. Is there a tool that exists that will automatically highlight these urls in the search engine listings? It would be nice to type in a list of domains and have them be highlighted in a certain color to quickly bring them to attention. I hope I'm making sense. lol |

That's interesting. So you probably would want something in Firefox that allows you to highlight sites you like, so that if you see them again in the SERPS you will recognize that you highlighted them in the past.

This does make sense, I'll look into creating one. Don't get your hopes up though, this may take some time as I have never created a Firefox plugin. It actually might be easier for me to just make a desktop app that does it.

SENuke does this already but is rather expensive for this one task alone. I have looked into having a tool created for this purpose and had a programmer interested from rentacoder who could knock me a tool up for $150 - $300 I wanted the tool to run independent on my desktop and to be able to take a large keyword list and then run through them all locating different Web 2.0 sites. For example, Ezine Articles (The Rhodes Brothers had a tool for this), Squidoo, Yahoo Answers, Hubpages, etc. I wanted the tool to be able to also take addon/additional web 2.0 sites to look for and other domains the user would want. (this being available for newer web 2.0 properties croping up.... Anyway I'm sure this is a great idea for a WSO so anyone wanting to produce the tool then I'm game as a freebie beta tester ![]() Seriously this is something I am wanting to have made in the future so if you are interested in taking this further then drop me a PM. |
