namepros and dnforum

3 questions:


1:

I just tried to register on namepros and i got a message saying "anti-spam measure -- registration denied"

-- or something like that.

Is this just a default thing they have -- you have to contact them first?

Because i dont think ive even been on namepros before, never mind posted spam. and i have no intention of posting spam.


2:

Is there a fee to be able to post on namepros?

(on dnforum you need to pay to upgrade to post)

    You're probably trying to signup from an IP that's listed on somewhere like StopForumSpam.com so they're automatically denying you access. But it would make more sense to contact the forum admin instead of asking about it here since none of us would know what security settings they have.

As others have pointed out you may have had either your IP or Email reported by another community in association to spam, which many communities these days query to help prevent their community boards from being saturated with unsolicited advertisements.

      If you email me at: Webmaster@NamePros.com and provide me with the username you were trying to sign-up with I'll look into the situation for you and get it cleared up.

      P.S. There's no fee to post in the NamePros Marketplace, however there are different account levels that have different privileges. Since you are just talking about posting though, I'll simply provide the basic marketplace posting limits:

      Free Members: 2 active marketplace threads
      VIPs: 3 active Marketplace threads
      Supporters: 4 active marketplace threads
      Business members: 6 active marketplace threads + all threads highlighted

      (Note: there's no limit on how many active discussion forum threads you have (outside the marketplace) unless specified otherwise in the individual forums rules)
