Hello from not so sunny Washington!!!

I am new to this forum and would love to hear from you the collective.

I am a teacher who would love some direction to make some money online that will add up as I continue.

Currently I have slowed my online presense and would like to start new (Im just about a year and a half into this).

I have tried BANs with varied results (most I have made was $300 a month). I have Phpbay (I think that is the title) and have not really got into the meat of it. I paired this with Wordpress and have gotten very dismal results for the time I put in.

I also have tried article writing and was happy with the amount of people I had view my work and click to my landing page but had issues converting sales. I think my landing page is not very good.

My question to you the collective is: Im looking for something a bit easier to maintain with a better income. Im not lazy but once school is back into full swing I tend to forget my online income. Im not affraid to spend hours on MicroNiche to find my keywords, but need direction on what to do.

Im not an internet fool or a total newbie so I dont mind http and other things involved in making a site.

Ok not to waste anymore time but:

What should I be looking at or doing to increase my income?

Lately I have looked at copy-n-profit and the all to poplular Money maverick. but I mostly see affiliate landing pages instead of reviews.

Any good advise would be appreciated and Karma points would be given.

Thanks
John the starvin for info Middle School Computer Teacher!!!

Hello John and welcome to the warrior forum. Let me start by telling you that the search function of this forum is your friend, you will also find some great products in the WSO (Warrior Special Offer) part of this forum.

These are items created by other warriors at special pricing for warriors if that makes sense.

I see that you are a computer teacher and with that 'credibility' that you bring with you to places, you might make a ton of money 'offline' by doing IM for your local offline businesses.

I personally have charged $500 for installing an email capture for a website and aweber.

I think Maria Gudelis (a fellow warrior) is still selling a $5.00 WSO about making $$ offline that people here are raving about. I personally do not know her nor read her work but people are raving about her so it can't be that bad and for $5 you cant go wrong.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the WSO http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...onsulting.html

Now, you might also be hell bent in trying to make sense of this online money making machine and you as well as everyone else, want to make your money there.

The thing is that it is work! (it pays but it is work)

Most people call themselves internet marketers and just buy system after system and just let them collect virtual dust.

What I am trying to tell you is that if you try something for a little while and then move to something else you will always be looking for the holy grail while just making little $ here and there until you burn out.

Now, if I was in your position with you "computer teacher credentials" I would go offline and make a ton of $$.

You can do many things for people who are clueless about this whole IM thing and if you don't know how to do something, fake it! & outsource it.

You will find people in this very forum who are versatile in every aspect of IM, website creation, lead capture etc. Even if you pay 1/2 the contract to the person that is doing the work, you still make 1/2 until you learn and become an internet marketing guru.

Oh, if you don't like to write take a look at Dragon Naturally Speaking.

Great info! I guess I always find that I sell myself short. In my mind I would like to get some of my concepts down (prove myself) then teach others. I havent thought of outsourcing much but I do have some great friends in the wings who probably would help. Thanks again!!!

What part of Washington are you from, John? I'm about an hour outside of Seattle (Belfair, right on Hood Canal) and the weather is beautiful here today!

Welcome to this forum. You'll never regret finding it.

I am finding a lot of quality information here on WF. Since, I too have a similar situation, I thought this would be the best place to seek some solid information on what it takes to make IM work.

    John,
Welcome. Steilacoom's great. My sister in law lives in Comorant Passage, right at the edge of Fort Lewis.

Echoing what the others have said.

Do your homework (how's that for irony?). You'll find tons of info here that will get you a huge leg up. I would suggest pick a high demand niche and then give the people what they want. You'll be catering to a built-in demand that way. Spend time researching the market. Too few people do that to the extent they should, but if you do, you'll know exactly what questions want answered and what problems they need or want solved. You then find or create a product to do just that.

You can do the reverse also. Find a good product, then market it, but I feel like this is backwards.

You'll find plenty of free tools, such as Wordtracker and Google, to help with your research. Hang out here, and internalize what you see. Look at those that are the largest contributors here. They generously give huge amounts of valuable info for free. Quick tip: Look to see what is selling on Amazon for a brief indicator of demand. It is easy, free, and you can be quite specific.

Don't shy away from spending money to learn and build your business, but by the same token, don't be one of those who spends a ton of money buying everything in sight, then reads only a little and does even less. There are thousands of such folks.

Get good actionable information, then take action or you'll go nowhere. Repeat - actually take action.

Another great tip is to join the private section of this forum. It is among the best money I've ever spent in this business.

    Good Luck

Hi John and a big welcome from me too.

Your details are good to see from someone just joining the forum. Usually people hold back and forget that the more you share the more help you get. What were doing to make $300 a month and why do you consider that not a good thing?

Its a case of walk slowly until your build your list and get properly into IM which with your schedule might be hard for you to accomplish. I would probably stick to what you were doing then and focus on it for a while before declaring it not worrthwhile. Especially in this economic climate.

    God bless

It was a BANs and PHPeBay sites. I just got tired after having 2 bad months in a row. I guess my real job took a lot out of me.

The books and Videos were very helpful in getting an organized look on the offline consulting. How to plan things out and how to organize and optimize the owners business. Very informative. I actually will apply it to one of my niches as well.

I am going to start with my wife's boss's business. I need to figure out the autoresponder and need to outsource a few things but I do know many things already which will help.

In addition it is time to by a flip camera for videos.

      Thanks for the great info

I also joined the paid section of this forum and I have to say WOW what a resource. The best money I have spent yet. I hope to give back one day!!!
