Kijiji Better Than Craigslist

A marketing expert I know claims that kiniji is now more effective than craigslist and gets more views. He has gotten calls from ads
the same day and a lot of business for clients.
My question. If you want to post multiple ads.
Does kijiji care if you post in other cities?
Does kijiji monitor content and delete ads with same
Content like craigslist?
Does kijiji check your IP address or monitor your
Posts the way craigslist does?

What are your experiences with multiple ads?

If all the CL spammers move on to KJ, it won't be long until KJ adopts the same anti-spam measures CL has.

AND with how difficult Craigslist has been making it, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened sooner than later

KJ isnt as crazy as CL but they definitely have there own alogrithms as they know marketers have been spamming. i think you can greatly benefit from using both sites but KJ
    for now is easier.

I did a little research since my first post.
Apparently, they track multiple ads very carefully and I have read complaints about it being hard to get ads to stay up.
They do track IP addresses and one user claimed even a proxy did not work. So I don't know if they are quite as tough as craigslist
but they are not a pushover if you are going to spam.

Kijiji may be easier to circumvent their system for now, however the most important thing to look at the VOLUME of traffic. Kijiji has about 600K daily unique visitors. Compare that to the 6,000,000 daily unique visitors that Craigslist receives. Does not take a math mathematician to know which site is going to deliver on visitors and conversions. Traffic is king!

Why keep trying to cheat the system?
Won't be better following the rules and put extra efforts to think out of the box?

CL has ten times more traffic, but seems to be 20 times harder to freely post ads with, meaning they are about even on balance. And as for 'spam,' such sites may view any ambitious use of the site as spamming, regardless of whether one does it intelligently or not.

Craigslist is good, the only thing is their rules are strict. I think you should give Kijiji a try. I'm also curious to hear about others experience.

      I just Googled Kijiji - it's a subsidiary of EBay, I didn't realize that.

Thank you Miss Annie. I wasn't aware of their association with eBay.

I also see that they are Canada's #1 classified ads site.

I might have to take a closer look at them.

So if they're in Canada, how easy is it to post from the US?

I don't know. I was referring to what my quick Google search turned up in relation to what AnnitPot stated above about Kijiji's affiliation with eBay.

I would like to know the answer to that question myself.

Ya kijiji has a process for approving ads also. You used to be able to post in multiple cities. Not sure how strict it is now though. Kijiji is owned by Ebay so they have a pretty sophisticated system.

So when you post ads on craigslist, do you just post them to high traffic cities? Or stay local?

I just noticed that >http://www.kijiji.ca/< is the official site in Canada, but if you go to the url >kijiji.com< it resolves directly to eBay Classifieds.

Kijiji is a REAL pain i have been playing with it for years and it works very well, BUT i would NOT rely on it as any main advertising method if you are in the work from home niche it's hard to get ads up! I would highly recommend verturing in to SEO if you want to make any real money on the internet! Kijij will frustrate you trust me!

I posted a few items I want to sell on Craigslist and Kijiji. The views are shown on Kijiji and they are pretty dismal even though I selected a large city near me. Results from Craigslist have been pretty darn good once I sift thru them.
