Let's suppose this scenario (which is real):

Few months ago, last year, a very well known Internet Marketer, a so called "guru" launches a very successful campaign. During his course, he delivers the main course and only two of his 5 bonuses (I am calling them bonuses, he called those something else...); three others which were to be delivered by mail, as of today, more than 6 months from starting the course, are not delivered... yet.

Checked twice with his help desk and the answers, in both cases, were very vague: "They will be delivered shortly" and in second: "They are being prepared now".

What a joker! And remember this guy is considered very powerful and a genius.

My question is: until when are we going to allow them to take our hard earned money and run away (read don't deliver). Is there anything we can do?

I am not asking the big guys: apparently all they care is our money, in my opinion they have lost the sense of integrity and again, in my opinion there are very few honest marketers remaining.

I am asking hard working online entrepreneurs

Thanks for your time

TanB

P.S. I am aware that my post might open a lot of other "interesting" questions, which I am sure big "gurus" won't like...

I've been of the opinion that we need a Consumer Report site for online sales.

Mark Joyner started something called GuaranteeGuarantee, and I'm hoping it will catch on (You can see the seal of approval if you click on Product Creation Labs in my sig). This program gives the customer a means of lodging a complaint and having it mediated.

I've heard about this. Seems almost like an abandoned project, right?

See if you can get your money back or contact support.

If there's no response, I believe you might be able to recuperate the funds with your credit card company as an "undelivered" product (which it is).

Tina, I am not saying all "gurus" are bad; please read it right...

With the material I received, the main course, it is a very info packed course and I am working with that; it is only that a few times in that course he refers to these undelivered bonuses which are integral part of the course.

And yes Kevin, I would love to see some kind of online authority on customer support

    Thanks

I'm in full agreement with you Tan...and Kevin. If you work your tail off and earn a bonus, you should receive it. Although I believe most are honest (tongue in cheek), a crook is a crook, and should be dealt with accordingly. An online authority or other method would be great. I've been hit a coulple of times too.

This may well be the most ridiculous thing I've read in months.

You have just suggested, almost categorically stated, that the "big guys," by whatever definition you use for that phrase, are all lazy and dishonest.

That kind of thinking doesn't encourage people with more than 3 working brain cells to take you very seriously.

    Tan,

Don't know the circumstances, don't know the man? But, I do know any good businessman will provide you what they sold you or, at the very least, a decent alternative. Not to make excuses for anyone, but I do know that when printed materials are involved a specific amount has to be ordered.

And, should that inventory be depleted, an additional amount in the same quantity or a higher price for a smaller quantity would have to be paid.It is possible that something like this happened to the seller and possibly his source.

When I was in the apparel industry, I had customers who had to wait months for a specific style of jacket because they were ordered in bulk from overseas contractors. Of course I tried to sell them another style upfront, especially when I knew there could be an out of stock condition, but usually it didn't matter as long as they knew up front!

I would try to reconcile this again, as in any organization, especially customer service, it may be the rep who has not followed through with your problem.

P.S. Hello to Paul and Kevin!
