I am now seriously considering outsourcing the bulk of my business operations. I can't help but to wonder if I 'hand over' my business blueprint to an outsourcer-ee to operate, what is going to stop him from copying it and pocketing everything?

Thoughts?

You just need to trust your business partner which I believe takes time. I suggest outsourcing your task to a person doing a totally different business from yours- someone interested in working with you but devoid of the necessary skills and knowledge/interests to independently operate on your business blueprint.

With all of the screwballs and crooks in the world I would suggest you contact an attorney and make sure the guy is local so you have recourse. I would never dream of turning my business over to someone else.

There are always risks in whatever business you are running... tell your outsourcer that you ware willing to do a long-term business partnership if everything goes well...

I didn't outsource all of my needs in one team. I rather choose different people to do different tasks. That way they only know one task only each of them.

You have to have control of the information even if you outsource. Do not disclose all valuable information if there's no need for it. Also, if you're looking at hiring a team as an outsourcing partner, get everything on paper. It's better if you guys have a contract.

    Hi

I agree with Ross - use different people for diferent tasks.

Another advantage of that is if for some reason they are unable to deliver then you aren't left in the lurch with absolutley nothing completed.
