Making money online requires dedication and consistency.
I have been following threads of some gurus here. The interesting thing about them is their willingness to always learn and to investigate any proven money making system before diving in. With the above in mind, I decided to check out the site flipping business. My findings have been awesome working in that niche. My 2 cents on this thread may not be entirely new but adding your unique and creative spin to any business model is the difference between success and failure. After all, there are no online business models that are entirely new. It is all about tweaking and twisting. Here it is: Flipping websites is a business that anybody can get involved with without loosing an arm or leg. There is no entry barrier and it requires as little as $20 total capital outlay if you are willing to work. The business plan is as straight forward as this: - Select a niche that you are knowledgeable in and it must be high paying. - Register a keyword rich domain name. - Gather useful content for the website. Aim for 30-50 unique and high quality articles that are Copyscape compliant. - Select a web host that you can upload your content on their server. Preferably a reseller hosting account. - Drive traffic to your live website via various means. No stone should be left unturned when it comes to generating targeted traffic. - Ensure that you use tracking codes to monitor your web visitor’s behavior and other variables. You don’t want to be shooting in the dark without getting expected results. - Generate sales/revenue from your website which you should have adequately monetized through your own product, affiliate products, contextual advertising like Google Adsense or a mix of these. - Confirm that your website has generated a month’s average revenue equal to or greater than $417. - Put up your website for sale at auction sites. The popular auction site for flipping website as of now is Sitepoint.com. But there is an affordable listing fee you have to pay. - Flip your website for an amount equal to or above 12 months of your average monthly net income. In this example, I will sell my website for $5000 because I am making net profit of $417 monthly net profit. - Wash, rinse and repeat the flip website for profits system. Remember that selling websites business will never be saturated for established websites making profits. Many websites on the internet are hardly profitable. No wonder thousands of domain names expired everyday without renewal! You and I know that no sane internet entrepreneur will consciously allow his profitable business to die or expire without renewing his business domain name. The truth is a lot of webmasters don’t know how to generate sales from their websites. They are always ecstatic when their website occasionally makes a sale. To such webmasters, buying a purposeful and profit generating websites that are proven earners is the best investment. And to you, the seller, such webmasters are the best customers to flip your websites to. Edward O. A. |

Nice Post. The key to making a high priced website flip is to putting your own spin into existing ideas.

If you think I'm being an ass...I AM. I'm tired of seeing this forum crapped on by new posters posting a lot of words that say absolutely nothing of value in a vain attempt to get their sig file read. (oh look, your sig file is about flipping sites) Just a couple weeks ago you asked basic questions about flipping a site: Site Flip Experts-This is for You And now you're teaching it. STOP IT.

you have a personal vendetta or scores to settle with me. An experienced and well versed entrepreneur (not necessarily IM) can learn all there is to any trade with due diligence IN A MATTER OF DAYS or MONTHS. There is nothing celestial or scientific in site flipping Let me ask you, do you know how long I have been online even if not on site flipping? I asked a question on this forum, fine. DO YOU KNOW how many gurus on site flip I have read within days and benefitted? Does it take take rocket science to make money online? Instead of looking for holes to pick, why not remain productive to yourself. DON'T SPOIL MY DAY, SPOIL YOURS. I have benefitted from expert site flippers on this forum. I appreciate it! I don't lay claim to any unique knowledge. Your 10+ experience in IM must have been troubles and pains. TAKE or LEAVE IT.

It always amazes me when I see bitch slapping on a site like this. I suppose with more than 200,000 members there are always going to be disagreements. My question though is this.....
Why would someone even bother to write such a response as in the case here, when all they had to do was walk away! If the information on this or any other thread is worthless then people will see that. Let them make up their own mind, rather than come in and slug it out with the OP. I am into site flipping, have flipped 3 and although it is not as simple as seems to be disclosed here, and I am sure that the site in question (making $417 per month) - will not sell for $5000, there are some obvious problems with the response. Okay let me put my 2 cents in, in a constructive manner..... If the OP was asking for help (and I have not read the original thread, I dont have the time), only 2 weeks ago, I can't see how he is quoting a "monthly" average net profit! To quote an average you need to have more than half a month of stats, even a full month is not enough to quote an average monthly return. If the revenue on the site dropped to zero over the next 2 months, then the average monthly net would be less than $150, so to quote otherwise is rediculous. I would be very interested in seeing the site also, because I find the income quoted, to be misrepresented. Secondly, I dont think it is possible for anyone to learn all that is needed to successfully flip sites, in the space of days or weeks as quoted. Designing, building the site, generating content, alligning affiliates, listing the site, waiting to analyse trends in sales from various selling points, and establishing a true worth, all take time. To say anything else is again, misrepresentation. However, the concept of flipping sites is no different to speculating in property (either residential or commercial). This (sites) is property, "virtual property" and like any commodity, there is a market for start-up and established websites. Some dont even need to be earning income. So right about now, the OP should be determining that there are at least 2 people at the moment who have given this thread some credibility, and whom have asked to see the URL to the site. I am wondering if the URL will appear any time soon, especially considering that it is to be listed for sale, and there may be interested buyers here. Just my honest 2 cents worth! Bryce |

It might be better to post AFTER you have sold the site for $5000. Unless I missed something, you believe you can get $5000 for the site, but until there is a buyer that will pay 5K for the site than it is still "hope".
It's like selling real estate these days, even though your property may be worth XXX in your mind, it really doesn't mean much until there is a buyer. Who knows, you may have no buyers at all, or someone who will only pay 8 or 10X monthly revenue. Good luck though, I hope you get 5K, that would be a nice payday. |

Site flipping is a perfectly viable thing.
The OP was basically a whole lot of nothing. With all the disillusioned newbies on this board sometimes it's important to call a spade a spade. It would be like me starting a thread called "How to make $5000 per month with Adwords" and then posting: 1. open an adwords account 2. find a profitable affiliate program 3. run ads for it 4. confirm your affiliate ad is now making $5000 per month It's nonsense. Why not title your post "How to make 1,000,000 monthly flipping one site? Just scale your imaginary number up? I stand by the fact that there is little if any value in the original post and it appears primarily posted to advertise the sig link. |
