Who is cheaper than namecheap?

Namecheap's .coms are $9.69 whereas .info is at $2.98

I keep hearing that .infos can be had for about a buck. Does anyone know where and if there are any special conditions attached to them?

Thanks in advance

It's worth sticking with namecheap. They're one of the few registrars that wont screw you over for a spam complaint and treat you fairly.

I'm still going to use namecheap for my main domains. I wanted a cheaper option especially for dot info domains for a few "experimental" sites that I want to throw up.

    Anyone?

GoDaddy's .com is only around $7.50. But if someone use your domain name under GoDaddy to spam...they will take away your domain name ownership.

i've never had any problems with godaddy and usually get the domains cheap. if you google fatwallet godaddy you'll find discount codes.

just out of interest has anyone had that problem with godaddy where they have removed their domain for a spam complaint or is it an urban legend?

        Hi Richard,
Good to catch up with you again.

re GoDaddy: It's no urban legend. Saving a buck or 2 definitely isn't worth the grief.

If you get a wild west reseller account:

Resell Domains, Start your online business, Wild West Domains

You can set up a discount that lets you register .com domains at around $7.40 a year as well as many other discounts on other extensions.

I have used this for years to purchase and manage my portfolio which saves me hundreds of dollars a year.

Also if you are using them for domaining there is NOTHING wrong with Godaddy. In fact they are far far better than Namecheap. If you are running an affiliate program or email marketing for a domain that is when you want to avoid Godaddy.

If you are using your domain for marketing or holding it then I recommend using Moniker.

    It's all about the strategy.

As far as prices for domains, I have found GoDaddy to be the cheapest, although others have come through with specials throughout the year. I usually pay 7.19 (With Coupon Code: yhkw105a .coms only. This worked recently. If not oyh3 or cjcdeal749 should be able to still get .coms for 7.49 or so for other extensions.

GoDaddy always has some type of promotion going on. It also works with TDNAM which is godaddys expiring name service. gdbb776 should also work here if the others don't.

I had seen name.com advertising a domain for $5.00 for a bit, but that is no longer available.

    Hope this helps.

Moniker.com is one of the most reliable, trusted by domainers with very high priced domains. Currently their registration fee for a .COM is $7.97.

If you want .info & .com domain, Godaddy is the cheapest. If you want .org, go for namecheap

I've been using DomainsPricedRight.com (I know they are GoDaddy ) except for one I have with 000domains.com

I checked out moniker because of this thread and they are actually running some nice specials right now.
