Hey guys, I've set up wp-o-matic on two of my blogs, however, it doesn't appear to be working correctly. In my wp-admin settings for each blog it says that wp-o-matic is active, however, the total posts is 0. The only feed I added was from Google blog search. I typed in my keyword and used that rss feed. Did I do something incorrectly? Does anyone have a video that shows how to install it correctly? Thanks. |

Pat Have you set up a cron job to automatically post - or are you using another method? |

I'm a technical noob. I have no idea what that means, haha, but I imagine that is what I need to do as I do want it to be automated.. How do I go about doing that? |

You need to add the cronjob in your cpanel. I fetch rss feeds manually using wp automatic.

There should also be another direct url showing in the dashboard which you can enter into your browser. This will set off wp-o-matic and when you refresh your blog - the new additional posts should be there. Obviously this is not as good as using the automated cron job!! But it will show if you have everything set up OK HTH | |

I got in contact with Hostgator and they helped me do it. It's a lot easier than I had initially anticipated. I guess you learn something new everyday. Thanks again! |

Ok so it now appears that it hasn't worked correctly. In my dashboard it shows that the cron job has worked, however, it hasn't picked up any posts. The only feed I added was one I found by doing the following; I went to Google blogsearch and just typed in my keyword and took that rss feed. Should I go and pick up individual feeds of sites or should what I did be working? |
