Hi all

We have purchased some lists that are legitimately collected but are 3rd party, we have had huge trouble trying to find an email marketing provider who will allow these,

Does anyone offer, or know anyone/any company who offers, email marketing to 3rd party lists?

It's easy to buy lists that were legitimately collected, but that doesn't necessarily make it "legitimate" for the people who buy them to use them.

    There are reasons for that.

And those tend to be the same reasons that would also make it so very inadvisable for you to use a self-hosted autoresponder and contact them using your own hosting/software/ISP etc.

Almost all email marketing software allows you to upload your own list. But that must be Opt-ined. And they also might ask for proof as well.

From where your emails were collected ?

Simply not so. If it's self-hosted software, then there is no "they". If it's not self-hosted, then lists you've bought (as specified in the OP in this thread) may not be imported, which was what Emma explained has prompted her to start this thread asking about it.

I believe "Ezeesocial" allows the upload of lists

Maybe you could ask the people you bought them from how you should mail them or how their other clients send emails to those leads...

Most likely your only option is going to be to self-host your own autoresponder on your own server. I can't think of any third party autoresponder that will touch a "bought" list.

    Good luck.

    Cheers,

Ah, here you are: good man. Someone said you were away for a few days, or something? Some of these "autoresponder threads" have been distinctly lacking the benefit of your experience, recently. Very glad to see you posting.
