Opt-in form is being blocked!

I've been trying out GetResponse on my website and have been pleased until I found out adblockers can block the sign-up form.

I installed the Bluhell firewall to my firefox in order to stop infolinks pops. Now, none of my forms show up at all unless I disable Bluhell. It's just a blank spot on my page.

This concerns me greatly. If my webforms are so easily blocked, it will be very difficult to grow my list!

Is there anything I can do? Is this something to be concerned about or is it a rare occurrence?

Best advice: Don't worry about it and keep trying to build a list. Not everyone uses these plugins.

Also, let GetResponse know so they can contact the company and whitefilter their site.

Thanks for the reply. I contacted getresponse and their inital reply included "The issue might be connected with the ad-block
you are using, you may need to remove it to
have the web form working fine."

Is this a problem for other services like aweber?

Try Ghostery instead Natalie, It's free, you can select and turn any third-party scripts on or off. A good function is that it will stop Adsense loading when viewing your own for example

    Works great.

I see this post is a couple of years old. Just wondering what you end up doing about this problem Natalie. I've been thinking about going with Getresponse for my autoresponder, but I can see this being a problem.

I know I use an adblocker myself, and I love it because it lets me watch Youtube and other videos online without having to watch any ads at the beginning - it skips over them. So I image there are a lot of other people using adblockers as well, and I wouldn't want people being able to block my webforms.

Adblockers are really become a big concern among internet marketers and webmasters as well. I recommend you to use simple option form in your blog sidebar instead of showing as pop up.

And if they give you the choice use the html version of the form not the single javascript code... its the javascript that's getting blocked
