Recommendation for Web host with Mailing List

I am currently having my website hosted in BlueHost but I find their support to be terrible. This leaves my no choice but to move a different hosting provider.

I am looking for a host that will combine mailing list as well as part of their plan.

I know that there are hosting companies that can combine a website hosting with mailing list feature as well.

I don't have a huge mailing list: I usually send emails on special occasion and on a weekly basis - an email with links to my new posts.

Any recommendations ?

Mailing list for what? Are these people who've subscribed to your mailing list? Most cPanel control panels have mailing lists built in. However, for increased deliverability, I'd recommend a good host that can provide you reliable services and use a 3rd party service such as SendGrid, SpamExperts etc etc..

Am I the only one that thinks the "testimonials" videos are tacky? I mean, I've been in this industry for going on 10 years and NEVER heard of a customer filming themselves with a review on half of these products. It reminds me of the infomercials at 2AM that are to shady to run during the day time..

Thanks but in my opinion $97 a month is quite expansive for what I need. You can get hosting for $100 a year and mailing list for $15 per month, all together it's around $25 a month....

Well to be fair I didn't buy based on their testimonials - I don't even think I've watched them. I kinda hope it turns others off because it's a powerful platform. :p

Well you get what you pay for

If you get any "serious" traffic then a $100 a year server will not do the trick. In addition to the $147/month I pay to Fusion I also pay $129/month for a level 6 VPS from HostGator.

And $15/month will only cover the tiniest of list at most services. I pay $149/month to Aweber, $75/month to MailJet and another $40/month to Imnica to mail my collective 60K+ subscribers.

You are running a business. If you were opening a brick and mortar store would you be terribly worried about the building rent? Or would you focus on making enough money to cover that rent?

Yeah, lots of people use them... but I'll stick to the "you get what you pay for" on this one also...

One downside to using GVO... Everyone that joins your mailing list will also be added to Joel Therian's list and he will send marketing emails to them and if they opt-out they are opt-ed out Globally for GVO. Which means they are added to the Global Suppression list and will no longer receive email from you.

The big selling point for GVO is the MLM style structure. It's essentially an MLM company that has an "autoresponder and hosting" as it's "product".

Of all the mailing lists options - do yourself a favor and avoid this one

          Cheers,
          Coby
