1and1 down?

I haven't been able to log onto anything at 1and1 since I tried about 15 minutes ago (12:15 EST). I had someone else across town try as well - nothing.

Anyone else having a problem with 1and1? My sites seem to be up, just can't get to 1and1 itself.

    That explains some of the issues I've been seeing today, I have about 100 domains with them and I noticed the email issue earlier but I had a problem on one of my other hosts too so I wasn't sure if it was one or two problems.

      Truthfully...had them since 2003 and this is only the second time I ever had an issue that I can recall...but seems to be across their whole network this time.

      I know some other companies hosted there that are having the same issues.

      And apparently their phone is ringing off the hook.

    They were my "first" - hah! - way, way back. Didn't know better, had problems from the get-go.

    I diversified, w/ hosting at GoDaddy - surprisingly not too many problems there. Ended up with their VPS (which I still have, but it has it's share of problems).

    Added a dedicated server with Future Host last year - they've been just terrific.

    Still have a number of domains w/ 1and1. Since they're some of my earliest, they are also my main email addresses, and I've not wanted to switch over and possibly lose email for even a day, so I've kept on with them.

    This is really the first time I recall this happening. I think the host servers are ok, it's just the mail servers.

    Finally got through to them they said within 2 hours...they hope lol


    EDIT: Heh...so anyone trying to email me and Jeremy we may not get it for awhile.

      I can log into control panel but can not get database access through phpMyAdmin... so they're still having issues...

    I've been with them for about 3 years... host about 12 domains and have had no real problems. But, of course I had a major database update for a client this afternoon that will not get done on time. The tough thing is that (at least with their Linux shared hosting accounts) they do not allow external excess to your MySQL databases... so when the control panel is down, you have no access... except maybe writing a PHP to do the modifications...

    Well, seems to be back. Sluggish, though I'd expect that for a while.

    Still, I hope to use this as my 'wake-up call' and move some of my more critical stuff onto my own machine.
