Hi Weekend Warriors: Hope the week was excellent. A Twitter question today because I may be working on something. Thanks as always. Do any of you use several accounts and if so how many total on Twitter for any reasons: Business Personal Combination Easier to keep niches separated For statistical purposes If you have several how do you best keep track of them for easier ways to Tweet and supply content? By the way did you ever notice that even with a top of the line computer, cable, DSL, or T-1 connection there are times getting around Twitter is as slow as traffic in New York City during rush hour with a rain storm? Everyone have the best night. |

I have one for my personl/business and one just for fun. (A Star Trek role-playing account - sweet!) I just switch between the two - no biggie. But yes, Twitter is sometimes very slow. |

I have found that Netvibes is the easiest way to post to multiple Twitter accounts throughout the day. It rocks!

Use multiple accounts, for business. I tried splittweet and it is ok. Honestly though, I found the latest version of Seesmic is the best solution for multiple accounts for me.

At the moment I have about 45 twitter accounts across about 6 or 7 niches. All business don't use twitter for pleasure! I use hummingbird for following/unfollowing etc, twitterfeed for adding content and tweetlater for posting sales messages. I am adding one or 2 accounts a day as automation is so easy and I can only see twitter going up and up so figure having established "real estate" on there has to be a good thing |

Thanks for the information. Many people have commented to me about the recent influx of real estate folks on Twitter and I have seen that on my own personal account. Enjoy the weekend. |

I am only recently a Twitter convert... figured I better get started while it is hot. I have a IM account and then several niche accounts. Has definitely driven some "clicks" through my niche accounts... I say "clicks" because I wonder if some might be automated by various places. No real measurable results yets, but I haven't really been testing long enough to tell. I haven't invested in a multi account management tool, but you definitely should after more than 2 or 3 accounts... otherwise some will start getting neglected. Quote:
Curious whether this is really worth it. Thanks, Michael

Hi Michael Yes definitely and it really is not all that time consuming. My best account is outperforming my aweber list in the same niche and the twitter account is 10 days old and just gets links tweeted to them and the list is a year old and has been spoon fed tons of free quality info. I'm not going to stop using lists but if twitter keeps on performing like this it amy be a possibility. I think because I am not the greatest copywriter in the world the short twitter messages really works for me. The real hurdle I had to get over was forgetting all the "get 20000" followers BS. The account i mnetioned earlier has about 1000 followers on average but they were targeted rather than just randomly adding every tom dick and harry. Its just common sense really if you are trying to sell a product about blue widgets then you want people who are interested in blue widgets right? We have spent the last 5 years having targeted keyword methods rammed down our throats so why should we forget all about targeting when it comes to twitter? Sorry got a bit carried away there, sorry for the long post in answer to a short question! |

Yeah, targetting is key I think... 20,000 followers doesn't do a bit of good if those people are not interested in your subject and each of them is following 20,000 people also! LOL Anyway, I have only started testing my ideas on there... I can reveal one thing about some niche testing I did... Sent over 5,000 clicks to eBay... $0 referral fees. (Clicks showed in eBay's system, so seems tracking was fine. That is partly why I wonder if there are a lot of bots hitting links on twitter.) Of course, I targetted those "followers" pretty well, I think, but still nothing. Anyway, just a test I was interested in doing, so I did. Thanks, Michael |

Hi Michael: Thanks for the post. In answer to your question about money I have not used Twitter at this point for anything but building relationships/trust the way I did here on the forum. I want to look at some more active approaches to test the waters but still remain faithful to my promise of always 10 Tweets of content for every1 Tweet that is a plug. Thanks for your time and enjoy the weekend. |

Hi Team Income: You were not rambling! Any person that takes time to answer my posts is doing mea favor. You seem excited by your results, great work. What I have learned thus far with Twitter is there is tremendous potential for the Warriors or those that simply enjoy social media in a personal sense. I wish there were one tool that could control everything about Twitter. As part of the question I posted I see that there are many sites/software/tools the fine Warriors enjoy. It would be great if ABC Software would let us control everything without going to several places but if the return on investment far outweighs the time, no complaints here. Enjoy the weekend. |

I currently have 4 accounts. 3 have same username as 3 domains i'll be developing while 1 is personal. I've been advertising various products on them. I use Allyourtweet.com for url tracking.(i can also tweet and switch between accounts easily and get uptodate stats.) I still occassionally actually check the account to match with allyourtweet stats, becuase its still in beta. Of the clickthroughs..i seem to have most success at people clicking on my @RockYourPlr account..which is supposed to be business related. So that surprised me. I'm considering opening more accounts to test markets out. I've used twirl, seesmic, tweetdeck, twitterfox. I now just use allyourtweet instead. I've got a bookmark folder just for anything twitter related now. It's so overwhelming to have to log into so many services/apps to do a few very simple things. |

Hey Craig, The speed of Twitter can be very frustrating at times, especially when managing multiple accounts. I personally manage 10 accounts for clients and 5 for myself, aslong as you stay organized you'll do fine, also Hummingbird is a great piece of software! Good luck buddy |

Hey Craig. I have about 12 twitter accounts. Two were test accounts in the very beginning of my twitter testing that are still rolling and the other 10 are different type niche accts that range from marketing from home to sports to cooking to real estate. There really is no end to how many people you can connect with on twitter. Used properly, you can make a butt load of money on there. I also use hummingbird to follow/un-follow. It truly is great software! ![]() ![]() Hope that helps! ~Dirtysteve |

Hi Steve: Thanks for the post and reply. Glad you are doing well. I see a myriad of people use Twitter differently. Some perplex me with the road they take. For example last night a user posted 9 Tweets in succession promoting a different product on each Tweet. I stay with 10 quality Tweets for every 1 plug but even from this person's point of view, with some many consecutive plugs isn't he competing with himself? If he doesn't turn followers off with 9 promotional Tweets will he get traffic back to his site if there are 9 Tweets somebody has to look at by the same individual? Have a great night and continue success! |

Yup spammy stuff is pretty commonplace. Also get a lot of people using twitterfeed to post like 20 tweets in a minute, DOH! do they honestyly think that when one of their followers logs in and their whole front page is from one person that they are not going to hit the unfollow button! 1 to 10 is a pretty good ratio of sales pitches to info, depending on the niche mine ranges from 1-10 to 1-20 |

Yea that gets annoying havings lots of tweets from same person all at once. one of the many reasons i no longer use twitterfox or the others. Strangely for me I was posting links to useful stuff then alot were promoting various stuff-from a couple of clickbank products,twtads,2 blogs that are not mine. I gained followers. I think my follow unfollow ratio would have been about 3:1. Enjoying the weekend? |

Hi again Team Income: A quick question please and thanks for adding to the thread. You mentioned one of your niches you may post 20 quality content Tweets for every plug, without giving the niche away is there something about the niche or the demographics that means being more meticulous with them? Thank you! |

Hi Designfuschion: Thanks for posting again. I always try to get inside the mind set of somebody but find it hard to understand the thinking of not only having 10 Tweets in 10 seconds but plugging 10 different things. Not only do they risk many folks to un-follow but those that remain can't possibly digest the content coming at them the way bolts of lightning would. For their own thought process you would think if they want to be a bit on the side of spam they would wait even 1 minute between Tweets. Enjoy Sunday! |

yea i'm not sure why someone would tweet 10 unrelevant tweets in quick succession either. Obviously just using twitter as a spam machine. You'd think those people would use tweet later or something..and space out the tweets. |

Aloha Craig, hope all is well! I have to confess to having only 1 Twitter account, even with all the cool Twitter API-based products out there I can't imagine having the time to post to more than one account (especially as Twitter has recently become extremely sluggish to respond). I guess it depends upon what it is you want to do with Twitter. I've found Twitter very useful in making contact with other Internet Marketers and Software Developers - had a lot of great info sent my way recently about AJAX for example. I don't blatantly market on Twitter, but I have used it to gather some beta-tester candidates for a project that is currently consuming most of my waking hours. Just out of curiosity where is your Twitter account - your profile doesn't seem to have one? All the best Bill |

Hi Bill or Aloha: Hope all is well. My Twitter account is airplanemancf Thank you for asking. Glad you have had success using Twitter in a logical way. The one thing that would make the Twitter experience more enjoyable would be better speed around the site. I have a top of the line computer, and the modem is lightning but often Twitter will time out when attempting to be connected. When I finally arrive on the site and want to add a follower it won't always take the request. Have a fantastic day! |

Wow, so many accounts !!! How do you manage them all . . . Do use the same email for all the accounts or do you need a different email for each account. Do you use proxies to cover yourself or is this not a problem with Twitter. I guess Twitter really is HOT, HOT, HOT and in the main it is fun, fast and really simple. No need to be a tech whiz.
