How To Find Out If People Want To Buy Your Product Before You Create It...

I use to create products first and try to sell it...

I found that approach to be hit and miss...

I spent hours of time for what I believed to be a hot seller, and then nothing..

zero orders...

So here's what I do now. Now when I do this I know for sure that I will make money before I spend any time creating a product.

It's simple but works!

a) I first write the sales letter and drive traffic to it and see if I get anyone buy.

If I get orders then I simply refund them and put my marketing efforts on pause.

From there I know its a winner and I bust my balls finishing off the product.

or I create the product on the fly by doing a webinar and record it.

b) same as above but instead of them going through the checkout page, I put an optin form.

Then that way you are getting a list of "buyers" whom you can let them know when the product is available.

I have done this and works brilliantly for testing.

This also works very well for offline.

I have used a call center to take orders or the call center accepts the optin.

Use it and let me know

You dont need to see a product I created to see how this work really.

You just need to make sure you do your market research, then drive traffic to a sales letter or video you create to validate if you have hit hot buttons in your market before you create your product.

I don't know about this. Could your potential buyers take you seriously after the unexpected refund?

Excellent strategy, I have used a similar method before with great success.

Before I would launch a product I would create a second list and write an email to my list promoting the would-be product. I would redirect them to a simple page with an opt-in form that explained that the limited product was sold out, please join the waiting list to get instant notification of the next release.

If I had enough interest then I would go ahead and create the product knowing I have a list of buyers ready and waiting

This is a very nice system to really see if the market will buy your product!

I'm creating my product now in the market in which I'm offering my local marketing services.

What I know about this market is that if you have a 100% proof from a client then this market will buy from you, because they want the same results.

If you've got something that others need they will buy....

Why would you sell something that you haven't created yet? I don't think buyers will like this at all. There are a lot of other ways to do market research, like interviewing potential buyers, check search volumes, check forums etc.

What I personally do is looking at existing products, and add missing features where people are asking for. Great way to create unique and high quality products .

to sell something you have not created yet means your sales material works. Marketing the product is what makes or breaks a business. It's easy to make a product to sell.

The key here is to get data. Of course you will have to pause the marketing , create the product, then continue marketing.

This just confirms your market and your marketing of your product, which will save time and money..

In terms of market research... yes i agree to some extent. But just because their is high search volume does not guarantee people will buy it.

I am talking about doing research and taking it to the next level.

To prove that your marketing message resonates with your audience.

If you search for "how to tie a tie" for example, there are a lot of people search that term but there is no buyers.

By donig it this way it guarantees there are buyers in your market for your product or sales message.

Your example of finding products existing in the market and fill in the gaps is a great idea which i do as well.
