What To Do With Coaching Prospects When You Are Not A Coach?

Over the last months I've gotten a handful of PMs along the lines of this one I received today -
set up something for me just to start a small income. I will pay you for your time Brent.
I'm not a "coach" and have no desire to be one. I sold my services (mostly ad design) for a lot of years and am done with that.

So, what to do with these folks?

I want to help them somehow.

So far I've told them I will happily answer any questions they have, but they are looking for someone to direct and build for them.

Opinions/Suggestions wanted.

Thanks for reading.

  • Setting up and building "something" for them is not necessarily coaching.

However, drawing up a plan of action for them based on their skills, interests, and financial resources etc, would be something you might be able to offer as a coach.

Sometimes people don't even know the right questions to ask, and they think they need one thing, (a website, a product, etc) when they really need something totally different, (a step by step plan based on where they are at today).

Maybe you can guide them in the right direction by questioning them and sorting things out for a fee, while staying away from physically building funnels for them etc.

    Brent, Become a Coach

Maybe gain some skills of coaching or get enrolled on some coaching training programmes and get skills to become a coach.

Coaching is one of the respected and lucrative profession; I think there are some coaches on WF who charge $5000 for their coaching.

Meanwhile you can help these guys as much as you can to establish yourself as coach to them, they will for sure bring many prospective learners to you in long term.

Money is not the issue, I don't want to give up my time.

If you're a real IM "guru" , you'll quickly cobble together a coaching offer, then pass it off to a boiler room operation on a per lead payout.

The boiler room will run a credit check on each prospect and use it to set the cost of the coaching program, then have one of their high-pressure "coaches" try to bully the prospect into signing their life away...

[If you run a legitimate coaching program, you're a coach, not an IM guru... ]
