What traffic do you use? This is the key element of conversion. Imagine if your traffic is not interested in your topic. Or they are freebie seekers. The more targeted the traffic is, the more sales you will have.

EDIT: I just wanted to share an example with you:

Sales funnel (previously used and tested with different sources)
    1. Warrior Forum Traffic - $0.92 earnings per subscriber for the first month without email campaign
    2. Facebook Ads traffic - $0.30 earnings per subscriber
    3. Adf.ly - $0.00 earnings per subscriber

The same offer, but different traffic sources!

    Regards,

    Alex

      Well said AlexanderBeloev.

After reading everyone else's points I can add two more extremely important points that will get you the answer:
      1) Marketing: Double check whether you are fulfilling your promise before they arrived at this squeeze page. Put simply, by clicking on an link was the traffic expecting to get "3 tricks to lose a quick 5lbs"?

      2) Sales Process: Test and measure this process. The key to knowing for yourself why the funnel is not converting to measuring at which stage is the audience dropping off in your funnel. In other words, if your funnel requires people to take actions, like clicking or reading things, before ultimately paying money to get your promise, then measure the conversion of each of these steps. You now have data to analyse and see for yourself where it's falling over.

Alex, thanks a lot for sharing those numbers... this is quite interesting...
Does not surprise me at all that adf.ly is on $0 :-)

        Hi,

Change the background image with one related to what you are offering.

Second, change the colors of your optin box from grey to black and make the headline more catchy. Try tahoma as font and switch the color from grey to white.

Switch also the colors of the "Lose Fat Now" button. Dark blue when am not clicking on it and bright blue when i click on it.

Which methods are you using to drive traffic? You should focus 90% of your time on this.

Regard your sales funnel i don't know how its structured and can't tell.

Cut down the Headline to 5 words and create a subheadline with any additional information that needs to be put on there.

From forum traffic to my offers, i have averaged $1.1 per subscriber without email marketing. Once this is successfully monetised the earnings significantly increase.

The goal of your sales funnel is not neccessarily to make you rich, but to help you recoup money spent on solo ads, free WSOs or other traffic generating methods.

    Hey Wes,

I landed on your page, but didn't feel compelled to put my email down. I'd need more context. Who's this expert trainer? What authority do they have? Who's used this stuff before? Does it work? You have to give me something before I give you my details, otherwise it's not worth my effort.

Remember, you're competing against lots of free advice that's easily available! What makes yours any better? It's the rough equivalent of walking up to someone and saying "I'll show you a great time. Give me your number." You need to work a little harder to convince them to trust you.

    Cheers

  • Why are you putting an image of a beach if you're talking about weight loss? dont you see the incongruity there?

Yep, the right traffic source is half the battle.

      Consider the following
      - aesthetically, the black box on your lead capture page looks ugly, consider a white optin box maybe.
      - The beach picture is not the worst idea I have seen, it conjures up peoples desires and dreams.
      - Don't look at your front end as a way of making money, as mentioned earlier on in this thread, look at it as a way of recouping your ad spend. Monetize your thank you and bonus pages with some high converting offers (markethealth is great in your niche).

I would take a look at your sales presentation copy and find out why it's not converting.

Being a bit finicky - I'd change the wording on the Sign Up Form thus: -

Instead of saying ----- "without sweating!"

I'd say ---------- "No Sweat!" (Makes it a bit edgier, I think!)

As you say you are getting some Opt Ins so take a look at your Thank You Page and the Product you are promoting - perhaps the Sales Page is not too good!

Don't know how you're marketing this but the obvious places are Slimming, Dieting, and all Forms of Keep Fit Forums etc. as well as Blog commenting - Sorry if I'm preaching to the converted!

That is not a benefit. What are the benefits of working with a trainer? I'm not in that niche but I can think of 15 right off the top of my head. I'm not going to do that.

Here are a couple examples: You have to you use your words, not mine.

If you lost a few pounds your clothes would be a couple of size smaller.

If you train with me you'll be fit to play with your grandchildren (seniors want to get into shape too and they have plenty of money)

Focus on the sales copy for the product you are promoting and finding out if it converts or not.

Then focus on testing and tweaking and keeping what is working and discarding what is not working.

This site will build a very effective sales funnel for you for free. I wasn't very successful setting up my own autoresponder and creating my own squeezepages, and just like you, got opt ins, but no sales.

But this site gives you very good content, resulting in a very good sales funnel. If you try this out, just focus on this and nothing else, and it will work out.. Just don't give up!

How many optins have you gotten to test your conversion rates for sales? You would want at least 100 optins before you can judge as to whether your sales conversions is good.

Also, if you're doing email marketing don't expect to make a quick buck in the short run. Email marketing is a long-term sustainable business. If you make some money with OTO's, great. That's a bonus.

    Comments on your squeeze page.

    1. Remove the name field to increase optins %
    2. Push the envelope a little with your headlines by making a more compelling title. Also there are no bolds, highlights, or different font colours on your title. Might want to change that.
    3. You're doing an optin without a free offer. That will reduce your options by a whole lot.
    4. Do a clean background.

    Comments on the salespage.

I've no idea what the conversions or EPC's are on your sales page. But I think i've seen better weight loss products on Clickbank.

Just search Custom Fat Loss or Fat Loss Factor.

Also are you planning to do email marketing to these people? Don't build a list for the sake of building one if you're not. You could just direct link your traffic to your offer.

    All the best!

The squeeze page is not attracting my eye at all.
Your SQ design is not related to weight loss, try to work on it.

I think customers are onto sales funnels now and don't fall for them so quickly. Once a good thing gets out and everyone starts using it and it's everywhere, then the novelty is gone.

Wes, I'd do some work on the sales copy. Both on the actual sales page but especially on the thank you page. Focus on benefits for the reader. The TY page is a little long and need a better visual appeal

Ya your headline and sub-headline seem too bulky to me. Cut down the words, offer one big benefit that encompasses everything you have on there now, and then test that squeeze page out. Getting more leads is just one way of increasing profit though. Since you're having trouble monetizing your leads you should look at your traffic sources and the experience a subscriber goes through after they opt-in
