Selling an eBook AND giving it away?

Hey guys, im half way through a short ebook on Fiverr SEO. Like getting more views on your fiverr gig not google seo. So it would be FEO lol.

Would i be able to give it away free here, and sell it for $5 on fiverr? Its only going to be about 5 pages, but are there any legal implications that could come with doing something like that?

Its just i have learned so much here, i want to make it free for warriors.

  • Seonutshell,

I don’t think there are any laws that say you have to sell your products to everyone for the same price (as far as ebooks are concerned anyway). I would just make sure that the ebook doesn’t appear in search engine’s indices because then people will be able to find it for free no matter what.

    Hope that helps,

    Shawn

It's a good idea to give it away in exchange for feedback/testimonials that you can then add to your sales page...

Wouldnt that be FGO (Fiverr Gig Optimization)

Looking forward to reading it none the less

Edit: How about you could Pre release it here, Use the testimonials as emelef suggested, edit after say 15 or 30 days and remove the DL link

If anybody with LEss than XX posts PMs you asking about the book, because you know how good this forum ranks on google) Tell them the offer is over and They can find it on Fiverr or your site. Late thought, but wanted to share

    Hi,

Sure, you can give it away and sell it...marketers test different price points all the time. No biggie.

I don't see anything wrong with that; you are offering Warrior Forum a unique deal that can't be found elsewhere. That's always the most important thing, to offer something on here that is a special deal or unique deal.

Yes, i think i will give it away here for people in return for some reviews, and then use the revues on the fiverr sales page. Everyone trusts warriors

Most Warriors give away they free ebook to War Room members to collect positive reviews and show these reviews to their potential customers when they launch their WSO.

It’s a good idea to become a War Room member for this reason, and also because you get for free many WSOs. The fee is only $37 (if nothing has changed). This is a very good investment. You can show these reviews at Fiverr.

There is also a (free) section in this forum where you can ask for reviews.

Update. You arent allowed to sell ebooks related to fiverr on fiverr LOL. Not sure why. How much is it to start a WSO? And all that have helped me in this tread will recieve a PM when the book is done. And il still sell it or $5

Seems pretty legit as far as your concerned. Just make sure no one on fiverr actually knows you giving away free copies on warriorforum otherwise your in for it.

This is what most people do. As part of the promotion it is always helpful, good way you can reach and keep in touch with your readers.

      Two things...

      a) You can give them away labelled as "review copies"

      b) Even right here on the WF, people give away products in the War Room that they charge for elsewhere on the Forum (i.e., Special Offers).

And here's another one that's entirely different:

      c) Also, why not create a different ebook for Fiverr... Make it one on how to get more sales/optins, and then upsell to your Fiverr book (on WF) in the back of the book...

Of course you can give your book away to some and sell it to others.

If you need a "reason why" just set a deadline for free copies. Give it away to forum members "until August 31st then it officially goes on sale to the public."

Not only will that give you time to accumulate testimonials, as others have suggested, but it could be a good time to do a few revisions of items that forum members point out if you've asked for feedback.

        Good luck to you,

        Steve

You are allowed to give it for free for some and sell elsewhere. The only issue is if someone over here goes over there and "rats you out" and then nobody buys it because they can come here and get it for free. I don't think you have to worry about that though! Good luck! I think you will sell MANY of those over there! I can't wait to see it.
