It is recommended to have your own website for Amazon if you want to succeed in long term.

Do you have a specific niche you might want to get into? You can also setup a niche related site, start building a list in that niche then market related Amazon products via email. If you find an offer that seems to work well then add it to your auto-responder sequence.

For long term success I would recommend your own website.

There are many ways you can go about doing this but consider starting a blog around a group of Amazon products and ranking for the product name keywords and linking from your blog through to Amazon that way.

    Hope that helps.

I agree with the tips above about having your own website. But I have two small tips for you.

    1. With regards to having your own website, don't make the same mistake a lot of newbies make (which I also did!). Don't have any product brand names in your website name (eg: PanasonicTVKE55ES9000.com). It seems like a good idea for getting google rankings for high search terms, but Amazon won't allow it.

    2. Your thread title doesn't really explain what you want. You might want to mention the Amazon Affiliate part in it to more viewers and responses (eg: How to work as an Amazon Affiliate). You can do that by clicking the 'EDIT' button below your post.

    Hope that helps :-)

I don't want to steal the OP's thunder, but is Amazon the same great deal it used to be?

I've heard so much about Amazon affiliates not being able to do business in this State and that State across the US. Seriously, is it still a good business model to get into - whether you live in the USA or outside it?

Any thoughts guys? Sorry OP, but it is relevant to you too

Yeah, you probably need a website... or many websites. It doesn't really sound like you're all that serious about it tho... are you just looking for what you perceive to be easy money?

Even selling amazon I would suggest building a list in a market. That can be your future traffic source. You can build landing pages offering related information to your market using a related product as your front end offer. then you can market a combination of amazon and other digital products and services.

Websites and blogs are good. You can write about the product and provide reviews to help sell. That being said you do not HAVE to have one. You can promote the products any way you see fit.
