Any sellers in the 10 must-tax states having any issues with Amazon & ebay Re: Resellers Permit?

As we know, Amazon has made it tougher on those in the 10 must-tax states. Ebay has left it up to the seller to collect taxes. I looked at the TOS of Amazon and it states that if you have a Resellers Permit and are buying to resell an item then they will honor your Resellers Permit and not charge a tax, but they do not enforce that policy on their other sellers.

I thought it seemed strange that there would be policy that like. Amazon does not like you to contact the seller, but you need to know if they will charge tax. All should honor your Resellers Permit. Is it because your location affects the check-put page as far as collecting a tax and Amazon does not want to have to make adjustments for others?

If I see a good deal on something and want to flip it on ebay or somewhere else, I obviously would want to know my final cost from Amazon for sure. They make it seem like if you don't buy from Amazon Fulfillment, you might get taxed.

Anyone in the 10 tax states have any experience with this situation ( Amazon and/or ebay) that you could share as how you have dealt with this or any problems you have had with others honoring your permit? If I sell outside of those sites, I can simply send a copy of my permit or ID # if requested and say don't tax me, but for the other two, their TOS rule the transaction and don't seem to be consistent.

Thanks for any helpful shares.
