Hello Warriors,

I just recently started building an email list via a squeeze page that I drive traffic to thru PPV. My cost per lead (opt in) for the first week is $1.89. Does that sound about right? It may be too early to get a real gauge, maybe a 30 day run would give a more accurate figure but this is the result for the first week. I am getting between 6-10 leads per day. Any help/info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid the old cliche "it all depends" is probably accurate here. I know that's not what you wanted to hear but I think a lot depends upon the niche you're in, the source of the leads, and the type of leads you're getting.

Determining the particular value any lead has, when you think about it, ends up being an exercise that is difficult to put a finger on since you don't know if, when, or how much that lead is going to mean, dollar wise, to your business in the future.

So we attempt to look at averages which typically become more accurate the greater our pool of leads become. I would have a difficult time justifying nearly two dollars per lead in my particular business, but for others it might be good or even great.

Once you have some experience generating income from these leads you will have a better handle on being able to determine if your cost per lead surpasses or lags your dollars generated per lead.

      The best to you.

The only real benchmark if your CPL is 'okay' is how well it converts AND your ROI. You have to factor in ROI or else you might just be pounding sand.

I think the more important to take note is whether you are getting good ROI after you have acquired an amount of subscribers. If you are paying $2 per leads but you are getting $3 ROI per subscriber, I will be willing to pay many $2

I think it will all boils down to your sales funnel and you will want to track it.
