Expert Help !!! Domain Business "Confused"

Hello Warriors,

I have a list of domains that i purchased last year, but haven't done any work to it yet. Not really being lazy, but the issue is i don't know How to start working on it. the only thing that i did that i used one of those domains just for my own Non-profit blog.

So what should i do Now? sell those domains or just monitize them to generate income. i have double checked about of posts about that but it's getting me confused to be honest.

Those domains are about different categories. the majority could be used in Healthy recipes, or business articles.

ex: Healthystew.com, Leadersrealm.com, Ironerp.com, westew.com.. etc

Really need an advice here as i do spend almost 15 hrs a day on my computer which i guess should turn to be more profitable rather than reading articles and browsing here and there.

Feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

It depends on a bunch of different things. What's your background?

You could develop those sites in a number of ways...turn them into adsense sites, turn them into affiliate sites, develop products to sell on them, and on and on...

Or you could possibly sell them if they're good domain names. Without income to show its going to be hard to sell them unless they're catchy domains...

Asking what to do with some random domains is not going to get you anywhere...we need much more info about them...

My background is IM is really not strong, all my background lies in management and Team lead, and that's what i do on my personal blog i write about Management articles etc.

Then someone introduced me to Domain business, and i checked around flippa.com and all kind of domain brokerage services, i found it really interesting, but i got stuck between what to do about the domains i purchased.

when i bough those domains i had an idea for each of them, for ex.

      leadersrealm.com: Business articles and Pro-Advices
Dreamsrealm.com: Articles about Dreams and explanation as i found great websites with huge traffic that works on the same.
Healthystew.com: Healthy recipes and Training systems, as i do have a lot of Articles about Healthy food, and healthy lifestyle.
cookstew.com: General recipes website, as when i checked google Keyword search, results was pretty interesting, and i do have articles supporting that
ironerp.com:Wanted to keep this one for a company that is selling ERP system for enterprise, as for Branding purposes.
      Hirealltime.com: Recruiting agencies.

I tried even Google Ad sense on my Blog but it always gets disapproved, with no clear reason around (leadersrealm.com)

And to be honest i got confused between million of ways on how to drive traffic to websites.

It sounds like you're a little overwhelmed. I suggest you take just one of those domains and develop it. Pick whichever one you feel most passionately about.

Build it up...learn how to drive traffic to it...try to create some sort of income...even it it's small. Then maybe once you've learned how to do all that IM type stuff...move on to the next site on your list.

Unfortunately, those domains are not going to have any inherent value.

If you really want to be in the domain business, you'll have to invest more time, money, effort, etc into acquiring more desirable inventory.

If you want to be in the IM business, having better domains helps, but is not as important. You will have to develop the domains into web sites then use other methods to build traffic.

There is no real shortcut, in spite of what the sellers of the WSO of the day would have you believe. Either road involves a lot of work.

So... what are you passionate about? How do you WANT to spend the next year of your life?

I am not really looking for shortcut, i just want to utilize my time on something profitable. even if it's going to take years, also looking at what i have in hand.

I would say i can work on 2 of those domains/ Healthy recipes and Business articles. so i will just go ahead and give 100% focus on both. for all coming period.

But i will just need to figure out first how to get approved first by Google Adsense, because they seem to disapprove my request for a reason that is not clear, at least to me. i have tried a lot of times to apply it to leadersrealm.com
      But always gets disapproved.

Yet, i would appreciate also if you can refer me to the best thread here about Affiliate Marketing so start i can start learning from it.

For now i will walk with your advice and start developing what i have in hand Now.

i Appreciate your help & support.

@Zemety - How much are you intending to make from your efforts? You see, Adsense is a numbers game unless you have an authority site getting a boatload of traffic. If you're spending 15 hours a day on your computer (5 days a week) that means you're putting in 75 hours a week and you haven't really done anything yet. It's pretty sobering isn't it - that's pushing your body quite hard for no results.

What you would be better off doing is putting a timer on your activities, such as 1 hour for reading, 1 hour for learning and then a couple of hours taking ACTION... after that take a break, stretch your legs, go for a walk. Before you do all that though, you need a clear plan of action written down and a goal you can put a date on. Each day write out a to-do list and prioritise that list in order of importance. FOCUS on one thing at a time to do from that list.

I totally agree with, that this is the best way to manage my time and utilize it for better results. and that's actually what made me start this thread, to brainstorm with experts.

Wanted to know the best (Not the shortest) way to start, to collect and draw all lines clear and start managing and organizing my day and time.

But trying to draw lines and set clear plans while i don't know what i do even, that's what is getting me to struggle.

    Hi,
You need to come to the forums to gain knowledge and ask questions, so it is not a waste of time. Why did you buy so many domain names? Just curious!
You could sell them. Good luck with whatever you do.

Mediocre domains are next to impossible to sell.

Most people insist on learning that the hard way, which is fine. It is just money.

My advice is to figure out your niche and laser target it. Everything that does not get you closer to making money on that specific target is an obstacle and must be disposed of.
