Affiliate marketing question - separate sites?
I launched a site a few months ago that sells digital ebook and video products for back pain. My primarily goal with this initial site was to experiment and optimize price points, advertising, and landing page conversion rates until I felt like it was dialed in enough to launch into the affiliate marketing world.
Now that it's close to being ready, I'm wondering:
1. Do I need to create a dedicated site for each affiliate platform? For example, a unique domain/site just for Clickbank, and another one just for JVzoo.com, etc.? Or is it enough to have a dedicated page (domain.com/cb; domain.com/jvzoo) for each affiliate platform that does not contain any navigation links to the non-affiliate areas of the site? This second option is obviously much easier to facilitate, but I can see the potential downside is if a visitor comes back and plugs in just the primary domain.com, no affiliate commissions would be tracked.
2. Assuming that I have to go the difficult route and create a dedicated site for each affiliate platform... is Clickbank still the best place to start for a digital product seller like me? Any other suggestions, and how would you recommend prioritizing the various affiliate platforms... which one should I tackle first, second, etc.?
Thank you in advance for the help!
