Is Domain Flipping Alive or Dead???

Hi Fellow Warriors,

What do you think about buying some well researched 2 or 3 word domains for under $10 on Hot trending niches and flipping them to potential clients for $200-$300? Is that practice still Alive or Dead?

Your views and any advice would be welcome.

Cheers

TD

There are many factors that buyers are looking at when considering to buy domain/site. Good domain is just 1 thing. Buyers are also looking at different metrics like domain age, Page authority, etc.

Furthermore, a good 2-3 words domain on .com/.net/.org are almost impossible to get nowadays, all snatched up.

In that case, there's lots of people doing the impossible around here...
Keep reading this post. Impossible if you do it the wrong way.

You've got to be joking, right? I can find very marketable 2-word and 3-word domains for ANY industry in seconds. There is an almost unlimited supply, especially since many of the "all snatched up" domains are expiring at a rate of 80,000+ domains every single day.

I'd definitely say its still alive - but I'd also definitely say that it's gotten alot harder to do

Dead or alive, it's coming with me.

      It's just more difficult.

It's as alive or as dead as you want it to be. In my experience (10+ years), it's easier now than ever before. Why? Supply and demand. It's a matter of understanding how to find domains that are in demand. The market is almost limitless.

Years ago, when all the million dollar domains were still available for anyone to register, they had very little value at that time. The same domains today are worth a fortune. That will always be the case.

Premium domains drop by the thousands every single day. New markets are created every single day. The number or businesses coming online grows at a staggering number every single day. It's up to you to connect the dots. Your ability to recognize opportunity will determine whether domaining is "dead" or "alive" for you. However you see it, you're absolutely correct.

    I can't agree more, Gene.

How can it be dead when I have two domainers/flippers who have consistently put in thousands worth of contents for their premium and aged domains on a monthly basis? I'd say it's dead when these two top flippers have either stopped ordering their articles from me or from anyone else.

Is alive, very alive. But is also a very hard game (as all the serious games). If you want to enter it do yourself a favor and don't register or buy anything before you've read deeply specialized forums and blogs for, at least, a couple of month.

It'll always be alive, you've got to invest a lot of money these days though, the return on investment doesn't come easy.
