Affiliate marketing money! :D

Hello guyz!

I'm new here on WF and in affiliate marketing (~4 months), so I just wanted to ask you a few questions and it would be awesome if someone could give me a little hand on it.

Well, so far I promoted one product from Clickbank and made 1 sale, two days after I launched it and it felt great.
But, that was at the beginning July and 'till now I only made that 1 sale.

I promoted product with blogger blog, Youtube video and FB page.
I have 3 posts on my blog and video I made on youtube.

I don't know where to go from here, I would like to scale it up, but don't know how. I don't want to invest money yet in domains and hosting, I would like to give it a try with blog so if you know some free methods that would be great.

I'm planning to invest in affiliate marketing in October, and what you think is best program?
Affilorama, Bring the Fresh or something else?

What tools do you use for affiliate marketing?

Thanks to all of warriors.

    I'd suggest to find a niche you are interested in then buy at least a domain name. Why a domain name is essential - you can put all your effort in promotion and as long as you own the domain, your efforts will not be wasted. You can host a simple site with just the opt in page to collect subscriber email addresses in return for a free eBook using free hosting, if you want to cut cost for hosting. Then use an autoresponder service (eg. Listwire.com which is free) to send automated emails with your affiliate links to promote products to your subscribers. In this way you can promote different products as affiliate as well as your own products. Once your automated emails are set up, you can just concentrate all your effort in promoting your domain (website address).

    If you want to go the free route entirely then you will have to write articles and post them on the internet with your affiliate links in your articles or use video promotion etc.

      Continue to do what you're doing now. Upload more videos, write more posts to your blog, leave a link on your youtube video description for people to check out your facebook page. Read up on youtube optimization, facebook marketing and on-page seo for your blog posts.

      If I were you I would write a blog post on your blog and upload a video version of your blog post to Youtube everyday. It will take some time but this will increase your chances of making more sales.

      I would recommend Bring the Fresh if you're interested in building affiliate sites and ranking them on Google. Building affiliate sites and ranking them on page one of Google is easier said than done especially when just starting out so don't expect to be making $100s a day right away. It will take time and you will need to spend money for back linking.

    For making money through affiliates, first of all you need to give priority to content. You may be thinking what content has to do here but yes it is what most of the newbie do and then cry thereafter.

    In affiliate marketing first of all you need to create a good LANDING Page ( its not like an ordinary web page or article) and then you should concentrate more on getting in touch with the people interested in your product. The best way is to join forums as there you may find people who are looking for your product. Next great would be putting at least one blog a day and smartly using review websites to market your product.

    We have seen good results through this strategy. You may give a try to these ways and if you need further assistance let me know.

    Enjoy

    Hi again and thank you for your advices.

    @Apra:
    I didn't know that there is a free hosting, never thought of this, I knowed that there is a lot of companies that gives you free domain, but didn't know for hosting. Is GoDaddy best place to buy a domain and can you suggest me company that gives you free hosting (you can send it through pm or here, as you want)?

    I was thinking about the list and opt in form, I'll take a look, I saw that Mailchimp is also good for building a list and it's free. The money is in the list.

    @tvon:
    Yeah, I definitely need to write more post on my blog and maybe build couple more.

    About video version of my blog posts, it seems like a good idea because people love videos but I don't really know how that should look? Can you give one example of it (maybe some video on Youtube)? Do I just need to capture a screen of my computer while I'm on my blog or something else?

    I was thinking for a while about Bring The Fresh course, and yeah I would like to build sites and rank them on Google. I mean I'll learn SEO there right? Seems like a good thing to me, watching videos there and putting it into practice.

    I don't expect that I'm going to earn 100$ right off the bat, I know that it takes time and lot of effort like every business, but my goal is to start earning 500-600$ from March or so, don't know if this is ambitious or not, but at least I have some goal.

    @srmax:
    Hm, I agree there 50-50. Creating a good and valuable content is really necessary these day because of Panda and Penguin, than again if you have valuable content but didn't optimize your site for search engines and didn't put much effort in SM, lets face it, you are going to have a bad time.

    I like this thing about forums where I may find potential customers, I'll try my best to find that forums and participate in them. I know that it really is getting in touch with people essential part, because they are the ones that makes us money.

    And you said putting one blog a day is great, you probably thought putting one post a day is great thing, not whole blog or maybe not?
    Because I think that it's better to have few well optimized blogs than hundreds of them who are not optimized and then not worth.

    Thanks again for all advice, I appreciate it!

      You can make a power point of your blog post and screen capture it while you talk over the video or record yourself sitting in a chair explaining what your blog post. Whatever works for you.

      Yeah if you decide to go with Bring The Fresh you will learn a lot about SEO and building sites. You will also have a community of people that will help you with any questions you have related to making money online and the info in BTF is updated every so often. So in my opinion it is worth the investment.

      I think your goal is doable as long as you focus and don't do too much at once.

      Good luck.

        I was reading your post on video use and recommend "ezvid" it's free and does a great job of uploading to Youtube. That's what it was designed to do. Definitely helps in your rankings as well.

          You can register a domain name for $10.00/year and hosting less than $4.00/month. Very useful to build-up your content and videos in long run rather than using third party blogging platform.

      I've tested these two:
      a) zymic.com
      b) x10hosting.com

      There are plenty of others if you google for free hosting. You won't get unlimited space and bandwidth but for setting up an opt in page and providing a free report it is sufficient. Also, you can monitor if your sites are running alright via third party services like uptimerobot.com etc. If you have issues then just change host. Do you see now why a domain name is so important? You can keep changing hosts but your domain will be same for people to find you. Your efforts in promoting won't be wasted.

      I've never used GoDaddy services so can't tell about them. I used Namecheap.com on few occasions and didn't have any issues.

      Mailchimp offers free service but has limitations imposed for the free use also their terms of service don't allow affiliate marketing as far as I know but not sure if it changed now.

    I don't think of affiliate marketing in terms of "tools" at all (though it's true I do use a prominently incentivized opt-in and an autoresponder, because nobody's making a living promoting ClickBank products without those), but more in terms of the demographics of the traffic I need to attract and the relationships I need to build with those people to make a living. I think most people who are earning much from affiliate marketing will tell you more or less the same thing, on that front.

    It doesn't matter much where you buy a domain, as long as it isn't where you also host it. (GoDaddy is one of the very few companies I'd particularly avoid, myself).

    On the contrary. For affiliate marketing it would be a very big mistake to use Mailchimp. The forum's full of information and warnings, explaining why. Have a good read around ...
