How much should I ask for my site?

I don't know if this the proper forum. But if not, a moderator should move it, I'm sorry I couldn't find the proper section to post this.

I want to sell my site on flippa, but I don't know a good price to ask for it. The site has 100-120 UV / day.

Can you guys suggest a decent price please?

Does your site generate any income?

It's hard to give you a price when we don't know what niche you're in, how much the site makes and how much it can potentially make.

Please provide us with more details, how old is your site/domain name, what extension are you using, what niche, etc

I forgot to mention, the site doesn't have any income. I can only tell you that the site is for women.

Not having any income will seriously hurt how much you can ask for it.

It's like selling a car without an engine. Would you buy one?

Why don't you monetize it first and then sale it?

Until now they didn't clicked on any ad, I have 2 ads on my site. The average on-site time duration is 55 seconds.

With no earnings why would anyone want to buy it? For fun??

Depending on how much original content you have, and depending on the quality of those links, it's worth well south of $100.00 bucks... A site is worth whatever someone will pay and given that it might not be worth anything to tell you the truth.

Tell us the quality of those links, tell us how many original pieces of content, and possibly we could give you a better evaluation.

Well, I don't want to ask for much.
The backlinks are all nofollow, there is no content on the site, only pictures.

Look at the sites for sale, and those 'just sold' and try a find one similar to yours using the page search filters, that should give you a ballpark figure.
I wouldn't expect too much though, $80 - $200? maybe, if you can find a buyer.

Your best bet would be to get it making some money first, even a small amount.

You'll be lucky to make the listing fee back to be honest. Maybe the domain name is worth a few dollars if it has some Page Rank and age.

Has anyone ever seriously used any of those online website value checkers e.g. getwebsiteworth, or siteworthchecker? Seems to me they grossly undervalue some sites. For example they value bleacher report at $11M and it recently sold for $150M. Another site they value at $51K and it was recently appraised at over $1M.

Selling it while it's useless will give you nothing, and I wonder who will buy it. So why don't you build it a little and then sell it, this way you can earn some profit.

Thanks guys for the opinions, I think I'll hold the site a little longer, get more traffic to it, and maybe make it to earn something.

    Really like this forum!

You'd never know, if you listed it someone might see value in the traffic it's getting and might give you a good price. Technically without income though it's probably worth very little, so I think you're right to keep it a while longer.

Is it a topic that could be monetized using Adsense? A site with 100-200 uniques a day and making a small monthly income with Adsense should sell well.

You may be able to get some money for it, but I would not expect much. How much content does it have? Is it unique if so then you can claim this.

Most of the sites that are sold on Flippa do not have unique content so this could help make yours stand out.

Does it have an eye catching design? This will help attract more bidders?

What is the lowest price that you are willing to sell the site for?

I have sold several sites on Flippa that do not have any traffic to them. I start the bidding out at $49 and set the BIN price at $197. My sites don't have traffic to them.

However, you are taking a chance because not all sites all the time. I could list a site this week and it may not sell.

When I re-list it later on, I am able to sell the same site that did not sell the first time. There is no guarantee ever that your site will sell on Flippa.

You will just have to decide if you want to list it and then don't forget to set a reserve, which is the lowest price that you are willing to let your site go for. If the bidding does not reach your reserve, you won't have to sell the site.

    Good luck with it.
