Default An unsaturated niche. Profitable?

I was explaining to my friend internet marketing. I was telling him all the things that are involved with it. I started talking about niches and how you want to pursue something your good at. Well he happens to be good at games such as beer pong. You know games you play at parties that involve alcohol. He probaly knows about thirty different games. Then I had the idea of putting a video series together to show how to play these different games. These videos can be sent over the computer. I was just wanting to hear some warriors input on this idea. Thanks

Good idea, I'd buy it, but not sure how many people would. If you've got time on your hands I think it might be worth giving it a go, and there's really obvious promotional tools like facebook that would work well with it.

Let me know how it goes and where I can get my copy!

I agree with James, my first thought was college students.

You could take the most entertaining video, and put it up on YouTube and then link to the video on as many social sites as you can. Include a link to the main product in the video ("to get 30 more fun games go to...").

It has a strong visual element, and if your friend is really good at a certain game, it could be delivered as a "Can you beat this guy?" challenge. For that matter, if he is really bad at a certain game, you could go with the "humorous loser" angle.

All the best,
Michael

When you make the vids, you probably ought to cheat and use tea instead of beer - otherwise on the third or fourth reshoot, you may have some trouble with coherent speech...

Heck, that would probably work, too. Make a compilation video of take after take, with the resulting speech and coordination deteriorating.

Obviously you will want to add a disclaimer. You can do that in a humorous way, too.

Make it over the top, make it ridiculous, but at the same time protect yourself.

You could combine soe if the ideas in this thread...

"While all participants in the tournament were drinking alcohol, it is recommended, for safety's sake that you use nothing more powerful than watered-down tea when hosting a tournament of your own."

hahah great ideas everyone... You can see the humor just from this thread alone. Its giving me some great ideas. What do you think is the best way to approach this? Some kind of site like a squeeze page selling the product with 3 free videos on the most popular games with an opt in box? What about packaging the videos, 5 videos for 27$ or 7 for 30$! Something like that? I am anxious to see how this goes!

Thanks

I think it would be really tough to sell. Most college students will spend on the beer but the video? However I think it would be a great viral idea if done correctly to post on Youtube and sell related items from the video. Set up a site that offers the things you need for the games... Then use Youtube to drive the traffic to the site.

Then cross sell things from the site that college students might want or need... say cell phone accessories, down loadable music, 50 packs of condoms, anything a college student dorm room might need.

Yea so have a site with the games on their but use it to bring traffic and views. Then have companies advertise on the site. Kind of like a forum. Then link to other affiliate sites or something of that matter. ??
