I have done it. I have made sites that are purely informational and so that was the only way for me to earn income from them (other than Adsense and a bit of Amazon worked in where I could). I would try and market to my audience. Example- if it was a work at home site then I have moms with home businesses reading my site, I know they need to build a downline. I say "Hey Home Business Owners, Here's a Great Way to Build Your Downline- My site is Full of People Looking for Work!" If I have a site about homeschooling, homeschooling moms are reading it. These moms are the most creative people in the world. "Hey Moms have you created a spectacular lesson plan? Sell it here!" And then you can seek out who you think would be the best advertisers for your site and approach them directly. Let them know your amount of traffic and who your audience is. Give them something for free or some sort of discount to get started.

    Hey IMDESTROYER,

I've done it multiple times. Never had any issues.
The only thing I can come up with, is the advertiser not paying after you've placed the ad on the site.

Simply take it down if this happens, my personal expierence tells me they do it mostly for the backlinks ( I have a big blog and sell blog posts on that... )

    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    Aron

Or just don't add their advertisement until they've already paid

    Hai IMDESTROYER,

You can try selling adspace with some prominent affiliate marketers. In that way, similar to Google ad sense you try out Adroll. It is a great way to get a good audience.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks

There's is no obstacles to be faced, but the main problem is the find the advertiser.
    Signature
I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

Selling advertising space on your website is a great way to generate revenue if you have maintained a fair amount of traffic to your website. A good way to get advertising on your website is to join an affiliate programme.
