I'm a NOOB TO IM. Any Help?

Hi guys,
I'm a complete noob to internet marketing.
I was wondering where to start?
I've read that I should ultimately set up my own website
and go from there with a niche topic, blogs, articles and so forth.
Any advice would be great.
Please don't give me motivational advice, but real information
that can guide me towards success. I have just quit my 25 dollar/hour
job to try and earn money online.
Thanks,
#noob

Sure, here's some advice: you need to think your decisions through.

You don't quit a job before you actually have something to take it's place - you don't ever do that.

    Thanks,
Pick a niche, then build that list..then either sell affiliate products or your own..

Simple as that! All of these elements, take lots of time and effort, but when it is all done, you can generate some passive income...

Read, the forum and learn how to find a niche. This is the most important step right now. Use the search button and find threads, on finding a niche. Spend a good 1-3 weeks (maybe more, if you have to) and then move unto the next step!

    Good luck!

Find a niche you that enjoy, build a blog, build a list and sell to that list.

That's the basics, then you just need to find products you want to sell or create your own and obviously you need to get some traffic which is probably the hardest bit of internet marketing.

Both social media and forum marketing work well for me.

Hope that helps and good luck!

The first piece of advice that I'd always give anyone is to establish themselves online before they quit their job.

You've already quit your job with seemingly little knowledge of the industry, bad move, but I guess some people triumph in the face of adversity.

If you want to make money Online, you need to sell something. Either your own product or services or someone else's. I always recommend selling a service to start with so you get to 'learn the ropes' of the industry.

Learn a skill that you can sell to other entrepreneurs and start selling it. Right here on this forum and elsewhere.

      Best of luck,

      Hai,

Good that you have chosen IM. It is a great arena for enthusiastic people like you and me!

I suggest that instead of going for niche sites and blogs, I suggest you go in for IM with products.

There ought to be a field that you are proficient in, so try creating some nice rich content and genuine e-books on the topic that people are interested in. For this you can see the trending topics in ClickBank products, JVZoo and similar affiliate marketing sites.

You can also create and sell small software products that are useful to people (i.e. if you are good in creating software)

But trust me mate, if you have genuine catchy content then you are bound to make money.

      Hope it helps.

      Thanks

Hire a coach, a reputable one who can take you by the hand and show you how to do it. Now, there are different directions you can go, you can with PPC, IM, List building, and other niches.

If you ask for a coach you will probably get dozens of offers with people offering to coach you for money.

          My advice:

Don't buy anything to start with.

Read up on ONE method i.e article marketing - read for half the day and use the other half implementing what you have learnt.

Make sure you do the second half of the day

At the end of the week see what you have done and what can be improved and rinse and repeat.

1.Pick a niche and create a word press blog.

    2.Post 3 useful articles a day.

3.Set up an optin box with a free gift.

    4. Set up a follow up email series of offers, tips and advice

4.Make 10 Forum posts a day, related to your niche.

5.Make 1 YouTube video a day ( And optimize the hell out of it!)

Blogs are brilliant base camp for your ventures, possibilities start to really reveal themselves when you have a blog that starts gaining attraction.

Wow! You burned your ships, dude! Very ballsy move! Anyways, there are lots of "systems" out there. You're smart to do your research right here on the Warrior Forum. It's nice to work with a business that is already setup to save you that part of the hassle because that alone can take months! Learning to market your business is the MOST IMPORTANT thing you will ever do! I cannot stress this enough, so don't get into a business where you will be left hanging after you've coughed up the credit card info. All the best to you!

First off, do all you can to get your job back. Or one that you know will cover you monthly expenses. Unless of course you are living at home and have non. ( Not being rude )

I will be amazed if you made job quitting income your first month online. Have a look at the top internet gurus. They have been plugging away at this for years. You will fail, you will fall, you are going to spend money you shouldn't have, but that's what this is, a learning curve. A curve that will hopefully lead to a pot of gold.

Look, you will have to invest in either a mentor or a coach, hosting, domain names, plug ins, outsourcing.. the list is extensive. They all cost money and some are not cheap.

Develop a plan, make it so you wont lose your shirt at the end of every month and chip away at this slowly.

Step 1 - Dedicate 1 month LEARNING a strategy you think you can grasp.
Step 2 - Pour your heart and soul into making it work for the next couple months.

If you fail, don't give up. Try a different approach. We have all fallen, but this is why we call ourselves WARRIORS! WE GET BACK UP AND WE CONTINUE TO FIGHT . Fight for the chance of creating our own reality.

You will succeed mrprodigy, just stay committed!

Learn as much as you can, but get started right away.

First thing is to get a domain and build your own site. Start building an email list from the beginning. I didn't do this and I wish I would've.

Find a method that you want to follow it and stick with it. Stay away from purchasing all kinds of other programs.

There are a load of programs out there that you can purchase. This will cause you to keep spending money you don't have to.

Pick one method and stick with it. You can make money online.

It's easy to set up your own site, the hardest part is driving traffic to it.

Just create a plan and then work that plan. You can do it, with some hard work and the determination to never give up. Even if you fall, get back up and keep working towards your goals.

As I have said many times in the past, you will not make a fortune overnight.
You need to think things through and come up with a business plan of where you want to be and stick to it.

    Thanks,

An easy way to set up your own website would be to buy one of the "niche blogs" sold in the "Complete Websites for Sale" section. I personally sell a collection of 100 ready-to-go niche blogs for $25.

Oh, and quitting a well-paid job BEFORE you had any income streams established was a bad idea.

  • In choosing a website you have to search in Google in what products are the best to promote then find a topic that are related to Google search that you've made.

The first thing I would like to warn you with is that don't trust and join any coaching programme as many people are here to take your money away from you.
Now you need to set up a blog first, Learn how to build a responsive list and look for a less competitive niche and find best offers to promote as an affiliate and earn commissions.

    Thanks,
Setup your own website and brand it with your personality. Create 4-5 great articles for your blog for initial index by google and other search engines and then update with 1 or 2 articles every week. give it a week before you start building backlinks to it through fiverr etc. Have an optin form where your visitors can subscribe to your email list. That means, have a PDF guide or some other offer to inspire them to subscribe. Then send them helpful emails reviewing products with affiliate links on where they can to learn more about that product.

Please do whatever you can to try to get your job back first.

Listen, you need an income while you start to learn how to do all this stuff. Some people are lucky and they start to earn some income in the first few MONTHS of doing this every day. Seriously, please get an income again.

Once you have that security, only then can you learn to make a solid recurring income online. Even that takes time, and like another poster said, it takes failures before reaching success.

Agree and disagree with people on here regarding if quitting your job was a good decision.

In general, yes, I'd say you should have quite a bit of cushion before quitting a job (no matter how much you are making). On the other hand, now you're forced to be motivated to take a lot of action. According the stories of a lot of very successful people I know in IM, they had a similar "go for it" kind of moment where they were forced to make something work. I've had somewhat of a combined experience persoanally.

Anyway, you don't necessarily have to have your own website and worry about blogging, SEO, etc. To me, that is more for a long-term plan when you have time down the road. To begin, you need to set up something simple that brings in money you can re-invest to make more. That's what I do and taech, and it simply works.

A couple elements that are necesssary: You need to build your own email list/s. You need to learn/focus on a couple main sources of traffic to whatever funnel you choose to set up. I get a lot more specific in my free training, but I would just end up sounding like I'm promoting myself here to get more specific since the methods are particular to what I do/teach.

The key is very very simple: focus

Pick an area that interests you and stick with it. The biggest mistake is dabbling and spreading yourself thin chasing opportunity after opportunity w/o any everlasting success

    Hey,

Do you get any money for living?

It is not easy to start since you have to learn a lot. Do your homework. Try to find a good coach and stick with his/her program until you become good enough to earn money. It is not cheap, but it is much more cheaper than doing mistakes and wasting money for nothing.

    Thanks,
There's no one size fits all approach.

If you're simply looking to make money on line, you can...

*Promote other people's products as an affiliate (digital and/or physical goods)

*Sell your own products (digital and/or physical)

*Provide a service as a freelancer (writing, voice over, design, VA, lead generation, etc., etc., etc.)

So without knowing more about what makes you tick and what skills you may possess it's hard to give you anything other than general advice.

You need to make a plan and get to work.

My general advice would be to spend as much of your time freelancing as needed to cover your living expenses & spend the rest of it building something for yourself if that's what you want to do. Phase out the freelancing as your other efforts start to bear fruit.

I like the free lancing advice if you have the skills. Build an e-mail list as fast as you can. Learn how to market online, build a website (use wordpress because it is easier than learning html, etc.) Connect with other marketers on skype, facebook, etc. and get a good coach if you can.

Your absolute #1 goal right now should be getting your old job back. That's $25 USD? 3.5 times minimum wage?!

You're going to need time to research, filter through the muck, experiment, fail, learn, etc. And in that time frame you're going to need $$$ to support yourself. Not just that, but you're going to need money to make money, unless your goal is to just spend hours and hours of your time.

Start with your interests, have a look at "bum marketing" and article marketing, run a search on the forum.

Set up a site tomorrow, head over to Clickbank and pick a product and then write your first post and come back here and ask advice - BUT keep on going, adding content and asking questions.

You can do it and half your learning curve if you take action and work through the hurdles as you go.
