Do you have the original software that created the EXE files? Or the original documents in Word or some other format?

      Hi . . .

      Thanks for your response.

Much of the material I purchased online over a period of time and therefore I do not have the original Word docs or the software compiler used to create these products.

Hence my problem of looking for a way to uncompile or convert these products back to source.

At no time did I imagine it would be such a problem !!!

Sorry to ask this but is this your work, that you wrote and own, isn't it?

Sorry, I'm sure I've just misunderstood.

He probably bought PLR rights to some ebooks that were wrapped in EXE files. This was very common back in the early days of internet marketing. We tried warning people about it...but they still bought.

The only way to extract the content out of those books is to use screenshots and OCR software to recognize the letters in the screenshot.

EXE files must be decompiled to get the "guts" and that isn't an easy task. If you want to try decompiling, check Odesk for programmers that can help.

            Hi Jesus,

I did have a feeling it was totally innocent I was just making sure and didn't want others reading it to think you could just resell anything you've bought.

With respect to Research, he's been on this forum longer than I've been online, so I had a strong feeling I was grabbing the wrong end of the stick.

          Hi . . . hello

          Just to dismiss any doubt's . . .

The EXE ebooks I would like to have converted all came with resell or master resell rights, however they are all PRE ereader and are best looked upon as traditional ebooks.

They come from a time when you read ebooks on your PC or Laptop and not on your Mobile as you walked in the park . . .

          Be seeing you.

Cheers, I wasn't trying to be rude, just didn't want some of the "get rich quick with no effort" mob thinking what I was.

Don't worry. I don't read on my mobile in the park, I can only concentrate on one thing at a time. I'm male.

Just to dismiss any other doubts, I'm not that young either. I even read those strange hand held book thingy's, from before the binternet age.

Yes. Perish the thought. An actual book.

Not sure why are you are calling them pre-Kindle files.

You can't put those on Amazon's KDP - just so you know.

I called them PRE Kindle because that's exactly what they are. They are the eBooks we read , , , and still do - on our PC or Laptop (Notebook). I guess they are traditional eBooks from a time before Kindle swept the board.

I really don't know what you are saying when you say you can't put them on Kindle. I know well that this material in the current form would not be suitable for Kindle or any of the numerous e-reader platforms.

The short answer is no there is no easy conversion. But here is something you can try if your desperate enough.

“Print screen it, run it through ABBYY FineReader, proofread it, export to HTML, import into whatever converter you are using, convert it, edit it like mad and take pride in the result”.

    Hope this helps
