I am not an expert in selling websites but my best bet would be for you to list your website on sitepoint.com or ebay or even on digital point.

    hope that helps

yesacpow makes some pretty good suggestions. SitePoint's Marketplace is one of the best places to get exposure for your sale, in my opinion, and much better than eBay (where the bidding is all automatic). Make sure to check around and see how much similar sites are going for to get a feel for how much your own site may be worth.

Be very wary about selling things on DigitalPoint. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try -- more exposure for your sale would be helpful -- but that the chances of you getting a fraud buyer are higher in DigitalPoint than in, say, SitePoint or even eBay. If you accept a sale from DP, be sure to screen your buyer (fraud checks, etc.) before going through with the sale.

By the way, does anyone know of any problems trying to sell something on both SitePoint and eBay at the same time? I'm talking about where bidding on one market closes on a price that may be lower than the current bids on the other market. I can't speak from personal experience, but it sounds like you might have to honor the lower bid if that's the case, depending on the specific TOS of the market where the winning bid was made.

I assume this is for the whole package, right? The domain, the landing page and also the software? If so, be sure to emphasize the selling points of each when making your sales pitch. Be sure to mention traffic stats, average generated income per month, etc., and always make sure that what you say is the truth.

As for pricing your site, the general rule of thumb is that a e-business website should be sold for 3-6 times its yearly revenue. You can set that as your BIN price if you wan. That's not a strict rule, though, as it's all dependent on how much someone is willing to give you for it.

    Velrajan,

Methods on selling your website all depend on the websites status...

    How is the traffic?
    The Sales?
    The software itself?
    Any bugs?

You have to give more information...

Generally a site like this should sell well on SitePoint, however, if I were you...

Do a redesign on the frontend, it will create more value for you, and then find some competition and put together a proposal or purchase for them laying out everything your website has, this method could get you 7-9 times monthly earnings.

Sitepoint will probably get you 4-6 times monthly earnings.

I agree with Yesacpow. Sitepoint, DP are good places. Just make sure you have all your ducks in a row. I.E: Traffic, Revenue Screenshots..ect. There are so many people scamming in the business of buying and selling websites.

Also, try to use escrow.com, or work something out with the buyer. Never sell your site with Paypal, Monaybrokers, 2Checkout. They can buy your site, and then do a chargeback, and you are screwed.
