Hi,

I have been browsing themeforest for a bit (happens quite often) and I wonder where they get those great looking photos/backgrounds images from?

Examples:

Atlas For Photography Creative Portfolio

Where can I buy photos like that?

    They have some nice photos and flexible licensing as well.

      They have several free stock photos that you can use on your site with no attribution or link.

        Wide,

        In my experience, photos like you're mentioning are not found too often at the typical stock photo web sites that sell images for $1-$5. The reason? The photos are of models (usually taken by seasoned photographers) and both demand top dollar. These types of images can be found online, but typically they will be at the more expensive shops. Try Getty Images, for example.

        The prices for these images will often shock you. Realize that what you're talking about are large images at 300 dpi or greater and they are going to be priced accordingly. So even if you locate a good source for these types of images, they are usually going to be quite pricey.

    Just search for some free stock photos. Many are excellent quality and can be used for your website.

    Photos can take quite a bit of effort and expense.
    For example, the travel expenses alone can be expensive for the photographer.
    I used to be one myself, and still know many.
