Was looking for some advice

I own a pretty successful fitness studio with my wife and we currently do about 30-40k a month in sales. So money is not bad and our staff pretty much takes care of everything with little help from me.

Here's the bad thing...I'm so BORED with it and I want to find something else that I can do.

Any advice for someone like me who needs to start a new venture?

Anyone that you would suggest I follow for ideas?

Open a sandwich or hotdog shop, unless you are looking to lose alot of cash online. If you already have a brick and mortar business, it's always good to invest in another brick and mortar business.

Yes, take some time to identify what your purpose is in life. Once you know that the rest will take care of itself, but unfortunately nobody can actually answer that question for you because it's personal to you. Make sense?

Sounds like you are doing well. If i were you i would either turn my passion into profits some how or become a speaker on how to successfully open and run a fitness studio. People eat that stuff up!

If you really want to work online, then use your knowledge of fitness to help people online. Just a basic wordpress blog will be all you need to begin with. Maybe one day a fitness ebook, dvd or related product. I think you have LOADS of potential here! All the best and keep us up to date.

Well you could do consulting to other fitness studios or personal trainers and teach them how to turn profit. Or you could turn your boredom into something productive and try and make it so your profit is 300k a month as opposed to just 30. It really depends what sparks your interest.

If I were you, I would research where I should open another fitness studio.

@twanag - You have achieved a level of success that most people dream of. Congratulations and good job. There are a lot of people that don't even know how to do that...so you are light-years ahead of them.

Several of the people on this thread have had some valid points:

    1. Finding a personal purpose <<< This is very important but also very personal. What makes you happy? How can you make a difference in this world? Start to look really deep into yourself and you will find what will make you the most happy.

    2. It sounds like you thrive on the challenge of testing your limits. This is the true mark of an entrepreneur. Take a step back to #1 and then figure out a way to make it into a business model and then put your efforts to that.

    3. If you are wanting to learn Internet Marketing, then I would recommend reading through the Warrior Forum. Don't buy anything until you have a full grasp of what this world is all about. Once you understand and have decided what you are going to do in it, then begin to look through the WSO section of the Warrior Forum for products and services that match with what you want to do and start to implement.

Let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with.

    Thanks,

    John

Well we can't really tell you what to do as we don't know your interests or passions.

But you do have some options like hiring someone to do the stuff you find boring.

or hiring someone to oversee and manage the day to day running of the business, freeing up you and your wife.

I know others mentioned coaching other Personal Training Studios, obviously you would want to do this out of your area so you aren't coaching your competition. You could do this through online marketing - do a search on Steve Hochman on Youtube and watch some of his videos as an example of what I mean, or stick to offline or combine the two.

Another thing you can do that a friend of my is doing is he was working with us at our Fitness Center as a personal trainer and then move out on his own. But what he does is he coaches Martial Arts Studios.

MMA (mixed martial arts) is huge right now and Martial Arts studios could benefit from the same type of marketing as Personal Training Studios and you don't have to worry about creating your own competition.

Thanks for all the input guys and really more than I was expecting. Figuring out what I'm the most passionate about is something that I knew i had to do and that's what I've been struggling with. But I agree this should be 1st step.

I really like the MMA consulting idea, starting the fitness blog and coming out with a product at some point.

Or maybe ill just take a long vacation and come back and just work on building my studios up.
